Girl that is a situation where the high heels just have to go!
It would be soooo freaky. Only being able to hear your own footsteps is not a good sensation plus being "trapped" in the dark.
Oh, I'd be outa there so double quick.
More power to you for having done it!
Think maybe you had better get yourself a torch to keep in your bag for if it ever happens again.
Remember you can always use one of your high heels and/or the torch as weapons if you need to. |

Not 5 stories, that is too dangerous, even with Emergency lighting, which usually doesn't work anyway. |

Why was it pitch black? Did the power go out?
I've gone down/up a flight of stairs before, I do once in a while because I'm too lazy to turn on some lights haha. One time I fell down, it was funny, I didn't get hurt luckily. |

I've had to grope in the dark, not exactly up and down, it's not easy... so I assume you had the time of your life...
One night I was going to my sister's by bicycle and there was a storm, it was around 9 but I wanted to go anyway coz it was her birthday. The rain stopped but the lights went out on the way there, I figured I'd make it there easily...boy...it was so dark I could hardly see a meter away and to make the journey nicer, I took a shortcut...wrong turn! Hardly any cars passing there and so much longer than the other way!
Some ppl came out from the sidewalk in front of me, I couldn't see much so I had to ride slowly and my heart was pounding away... It isn't such a safe area either...
Couldn't believe when I got there (neither could my sister), I had some cake and we talked but the lights never went on so I went back in the dark too, around midnight. This time I went the right way which was difficult too, but not as bad...
It was more than half the way home that I came to lights on in the streets... was someone ever so glad to finally "see the light"? |

yes, when the power used to go out and that used to happen often in lebanon, I would go up the dark stairs. It is scary and what makes it more scary for me is the thought that I might step on a cockroach. creepy. |
