The Dead Sea is the saltiest body of water in the world. It is nine times saltier than the ocean. The Dead Sea got its name because few plants and no fish live in its water |

It is too salty for anything to live there. |

Because its salt content is so high that it cannot support life. |

It's high mineral content means it has very little life... No fish, no waterfowl, no amphibians
it does support fungi, bacteria, and - sometimes - algae |

It is because there is alot of SAXA salt in it as this kills all known life. Incidentally, normal salt was once tried, along with Tesco's and Sainsburys own brand but they were found to be to weak. |

Obviously because the water is five times saltier than most oceans and nothing can live very long in it. Go to Google and it will bring it up for you |

The salinity of the water makes it almost impossible for any aquatic life to survive in it. So, instead of calling it "Suicide Sea" which indicates "initiation" of an action, they settled with "Dead Sea" which indicates the consequences / "the end" / "K.O" - Throw a fish it'll become salted fish (which is yummy). Cheers! |
