There isn't a distinct Israeli look; if you walk don the street in Tel Aviv you will see people of all colors, shapes, and sizes, much like the people you would see in the U.S.

I dont agree with you, you get people in Israel from all walks of life, also more European looking people and more middle eastern people, who are the Mizrachi Jews and the Arabs.
With regards to the Jewish people there are some who are more religious who dress very conservatively and some the Hasidic Jews have their own black suites that they wear.
The secular people are very westernised and wear designer clothes, many wear jeans.

"a new people"? That's pretty funny when you think about it. To stereotype a people based upon physical appearance is racism. Didn't you know that? One thing that you learn in the Diaspora Museum in Israel is that there is no stereotypical Jewish/Israeli "look".

European Jews throughout most of their history lived in Spain and Italy (where most Russian Jews are from) and jews of arab descent lived in the levant and persia these people look a like when they came together to Israel........they still looked pretty similar.

navy man, you phd should be taken away. what kind of c rap is that? jews and israeli's look like anyone in the world, it depends where they are from. jews from russia look russian, jews from morocco look moroccan.
plus there's a lot of converts, and they retain their looks, wouldn't you think? they look just as gentile as before.

and to the question asker, i have heard that jews are hairier than north europeans for example, because they are from the mediterranean area. italians and yugoslavians, greeks also have more hair (i'm not making this up, i know someone that was in yugoslavia on the beach and 2 guys came over to her, they thought her body hair was sexy...).

Jews are people who follow Judaism, they can be Asia, Middle Eastern, European, African or Americans.

An Israeli is a person who holds the Israeli citizenship, they can be of any religion or any race.
So pretty much it's diverse but lately Israel is filled with Russians!!

yeah well isralis usually have dark skin but no all israleis are like that but when my sis was in isral she was mistaken for an israli a lot of times because she has really dark skin which is really strange because i have very pale skin and she has black curly hair and i have wavy (more on the strait side) light brown hair) but its because they live in a place were youll get dark and also because thery familys are from countrys were people's skin is like that

Well Israelis dont really look alike but there is a resemblance. There could be for a number of reasons like
Jews try not to intermarry so its from the beginning of Jews
Most are Sephardic/come from spanish/arab countries so we have that look.
When Israel first started out people started marrying people from different countries like my mother is austrian and russian and married my dad who is persian so we are very mixed.
