How long do you wait before you choose a Best Answer?

it depends on the questions.
if it's one that i think my friend jane will like and take from me against a violation I try to resolve it and tuck it away very quickly.
the others I leave for 2 or 3 days

You have to wait 4 hours after posting the question. Yahoo Answers is a lot of fun--- you get to see different opinions, sometimes it's fun to let the question be voted on.

I get very selfish with my questions ! After all they are MY questions so I always choose best answer & don't whimp out !

Usually wait till the answers slow down , say a couple of days , or until yahoo give me the hurry up !

I think you have to wait just a bit, I think at least a day but if I care enough to post a question, I feel I should pick a best answer.

I think until you get an answer that adequately or as near as possible answers your question. You find that most answers will come in the first 24hrs and from them you can make your choice. I really feel we should always pick a Best Answer when we ask a question.Far too many questions are left up to the public vote and this opens it up for people with more than one account to easily out vote us,like "Whatever"!.

It depends on the question,if i find the question i asked interesting i wait till 3 days to give best answer,if i just asked a normal question i just wait 1 or 2 days and give best answer!

Well it's basically a matter of OPINION !! So many times I'd select my choice of best answers!. Sometimes I'd try to contribute like right NOW I'm taking a look at best answers !! & make a selection or two of those !! & move on. Alot of times I try to provide mostly my OPINION as an answer!! & sometimes I try to answer in ways that I've learned,think or feel are more morally correct !!.. that too can be seen as OPINION !?!. "But I'm the kind of person that tries not to type,say or state just MY OPINION !!. At times I base somethings on fact !! & again just state MY O P I N I O N !! & let (you) go from there !! `'R"r.r`r,r'.-

I've only asked a few questions here, but I always chose the best answer within the time limit (3 days). But some aren't as lucky with their questions, some I find just answer for points.

Sometimes..if the answers are all really good..I prefer the vote..I think it's more fair that way

but if I see this really helpful answer then I'll choose it..
If I get really random and useless answers I'll try to pick the best one but if they are all garbage..then I just delete them
