Chocolate overdose Jeddo?
I fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow. I'd love to spend time planning and rehashing my day but I can't do it.

Believe me, 3 minutes maximum!
Anytime I try.
The trick is: you have to stop thinking of whatever is occupying your mind,
for me that's easy :-))) LOL |

I set the TV to shut off after 2 hours, but I think it takes me about 45 minutes. But then I wake up a million times during the night, so I force myself to stay awake for as long as I can to hopefully prevent that. |

I fall asleep the moment my head reaches for the pillow (literally). This means it takes me like 10 seconds.
If you have problems sleeping, then try to wear yourself off before going to bed. For example exercise.
To me it's not only the quantity of sleep but rather its quality. If I'm not sleeping appropriately, I mind wake up tired. On the other hand a couple of hours of good quality sleep might be enough for me. |

It takes me only about 5 minutes, but then I don't try to go to sleep until I am really tired. |

Before going to sleep , we go through a period of time called (dark box period) it is the best time to learn by heart something,, as our conscious would be starting to be weak, and the information in and out of our subconscious can move easier,,, (like when we are drunk , or stoned,) anyway , U should only go to sleep when u need to sleep, besides, if u do more activities during the day , u will full asleep quicker,
You can always have a warm glass of milk, before going to sleep and an apple (well an apple takes around 8 hours to release all the glucose it has,, so u will not experience drop of the glucose in blood so u do not wake up during ur sleep and have a calm one) ..Stay away of fast releasing carb (or sugar) as carbohydrate. increases the tension and prevent the sleep (we do not give children sweets so they can sleep),,,
If that fail ..OK a half pill of melatonin will knock you down in 20 minutes., Our bodies produce melatonin and it is less as we are older,, but we do that only at night and in the dark,, in the time between 1-3 morning,,, so if you do not sleep that time or, u stay in light , your body does not produce enough melatonin and, less melatonin produced means quicker aging, and worse skin ,,,,(you do not want that),, and that is why sleeping at night is twice better than sleeping in the day time..
Food rich of carnitine will also wake you up as one of the side effect of carnitine is lack of sleep (beef-liver -chicken -eggs...etc) |

It usually does not take me more than 5 or 10 minutes. I would avoid drinking caffeine past 3 or 4pm because caffeine speeds up your heart rate for up to 9 hours after consumption. But my main way to fall asleep is I get in the most comfortable sleeping position that is repeatable. Then I concentrate on my breathing and my body and mind relax and away I go. |
