4 queen size pillows + 1 small throw pillow
I have a queen size bed so I normally have 2 layers of 2 queen size pillows (4 all together), one body pillow (for under my knees) and a couple of small soft throw pillows on my bed (for behind my head/neck) for when I watch TV. At bed time I remove the body pillow and most of the throw pillows. I keep one soft throw pillow to place between my knees so I can avoid back strain

One beautiful memory foam pillow. It was supposed to be the next best thing to fried chicken...lol...but I still wake up with severe neck and back pain! Cheers!

I use one pillow, however, there are about 20 pillows on the other side of the bed where my man sleeps.

It depends. I prefer 1...if it is soft yet firm...if not, then I sleep with 2 under my head.

Now about Marty's answer...I'd like to explain what got Marty started on the pillow between the knees.

When I was hugely pregnant with Eli, someone recommended sleeping with a pillow between the knees at night to be more comfortable and it worked! So...Marty thought he'd give it a whirl. Well, I stopped using the "preggie pillow", as I call it, when I was no longer pregnant, but, as you can tell from Marty's answer...he never did stop! LOL
