They won't be there for ever, the terrible acts they commit will not last without punishment!

That's what they said in 1947. And again in 1967. And again in 1973. Get the point?
People have been doubting Israel's ability to survive, let alone succeed, and yet Israel has done both spectacularly. Israel is only stronger today than it was decades ago, and it will be yet stronger tomorrow. Never fear for Israel, for survive it will.

If you are a true Jew, you should know that Israel will never perish! As a matter of fact it will rise up!

I cannot understand why someone so obviously not Jewish would state that he s Jewish.

Perhaps he thinks that his dire predictioons will be believed if he claims to be Jewish.

Do not worry. The Jewish People are eternal.

As opposed to the "Plaestinian people." In fact, Arabs began identifying themselves as part of a Palestinian people in 1964 only, on the initiative of Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat. The idea became popular Arab propaganda tool after Israel re-captured Judea, Samaria and Gaza in the defensive Six-Day War of 1967.

Out of the 100,000,000 refugees since World War II, Arab-Palestinians are the only refugee group in the world that has never been absorbed or integrated into their own peoples' lands. Jewish refugees were completely absorbed into Israel.

Arab refugees INTENTIONALLY were not absorbed or integrated by the rich Arab oil states that control 99.9 percent of the Middle East landmass. They are kept as virtual prisoners by the Arab power brokers with misplaced hatred for Jews and Western democracy.

There is only one Jewish state. There are 60 Muslim countries, including 22 Arab nations.

The PLO Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of Israel.

Pan-Arabism, or the doctrine of Muslim Caliphate, declares that all land that used to belong to Muslims must be returned to them. Thus, Spain, for example, must eventually be re-conquered.

The Nation of Israel lives!

The Land of Israel is holy to the Jewish People. Anyone who doubts that might want to ask them if they would willingly give it up. Hint: they would answer in the negative. The asker claims to be Jewish. I claim that he is not.

The Jewish people have lived in the land of Israel for about 3000 years, and only THEY have ever had a sovereign state there. Even under the years of Byzantine, Arab and Turkish rule, there was a continuous Jewish presence. There has been a Jewish majority in Jerusalem since the 1840s.

After the defeat by the Allies of the Turkish Ottoman Empire, the League of Nations (forerunner of the United Nations) allotted mandates to Britain and France, with responsibility for developing states for the Arabs in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, and a national home for Jews in Palestine. Thus, these major Arab states owe their origin to the same international acts as those that led to the Jewish state.

The area the Jewish national home was established in was then known as Palestine, and the Jews who settled there were accordingly known as Palestinians. Until 1948, the present Israel Philharmonic was the Palestine Orchestra, the Jerusalem Post the Palestine Post, and so on.

Palestine was never a country, but a somewhat vaguely defined geographical area. No occupying power ever made it an independent state, or established a capital in Jerusalem. Under the Ottoman Empire, it was part of the vilayet, or province, of Syria. The Arabs of Palestine had no historical, national or cultural identity distinct from other Arabs of the region. The term "Palestinian" almost never carried its present meaning until the 1960s, even for Arabs.

Arabs even denied that there was any such country as Palestine. During various deliberations about what was to become of "Palestine" after the Mandate, conducted by British and international commissions and other bodies, culminating with the United Nations in 1947, Arab officials, spokesmen and writers expressed their views on "Palestine." "There is no such country as Palestine. "Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented. . . . Our country was for centuries part of Syria. 'Palestine' is alien to us. It is the Zionists who introduced it." Local Arab leader to British Peel Commission, 1937.

"There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not," Professor Philip Hitti, leading Arab historian: to Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry, 1946. And later: "It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria." Ahmed Shukeiry, later founding chairman of the PLO, to United Nations Security Council, 1956

"Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity serves only tactical purposes. The founding of a Palestinian state is a new tool in the continuing battle against Israel." Zuheir Muhsin, late Military Department head of the PLO and member of its Executive Council. Dutch daily Trouw, March 1977.

In 1922, Britain, the mandatory power, supposedly temporarily, split off 75% of the intended Jewish national home, to establish the Emirate of Transjordan, as a throne for the Arabian Hashemite family. No Jews were allowed to settle there. Both Churchill and Roosevelt publicly acknowledged that Arab immigration into Western Palestine exceeded Jewish immigration during the mandatory period..

In 1947, the UN decided to split the remaining part of Palestine between Jews and Arabs. The Jews accepted this, because it would lead to a Jewish state, although in a very much smaller area than they had been promised. The Arabs refused, because they wanted the whole of Palestine for themselves. They immediately began hostilities against the Jewish inhabitants.

Six Arab armies, in overwhelmingly superior force, attacked the new state, with the publicly declared aim of massacring the Jews and driving out the survivors. The small Jewish forces defeated the invaders and increased the area under Jewish control. Transjordan annexed the area intended for an Arab state, and renamed itself the Kingdom of Jordan, calling the annexed area the West Bank. Only two states, Britain and Pakistan (not Canada) recognized the annexation. Half of Jerusalem remained in Jordanian hands. The Jordanians systematically desecrated and destroyed synagogues and Jewish graves in the Jerusalem area. No Jews were permitted to live in Jordanian-controlled areas.

You are a Jew who has never been to Israel. Let me offer you a Muslim oriented scenario for Israel if the Jewish people made the unthinkable choice of leaving Israel. first outside of all religious sites the country of Israel would be reduced to a pile of rocks. The Jewish people would certainly leave it the way they found it. Why just give away everything you built? As for the religious aspects. The Jewish people in Israel have clearly demonstrated they would not destroy anything sacred to the muslims. Unlike the muslims who think nothing of destroying 14th century Buddhist's statues. Now let's look at the Palestinian population. Given the entire inhabitable land in Israel minus no infrastructure for at least 10-20 years( if ever) add the current babies per Mother at 6 and by my GUESS life in Israel would be impossible within 5-10 years. They would need aid for every person every day. The USA would not offer this aid. The EU might but they would require their citizens including their new Jewish population to be able to visit their holy sights. Since the Palestinians would no doubt destroy anything sacred to Jewish people I doubt The EU would help.Besides, the EU would be aiding Gaza now if no clauses were needed..Now the arab nations might help but we all know they always pledge way more than they actually give. The fact Arafat pocketed most of their previous contributions might also factor in. I firmly believe they would not help. So as i see it the vast majority of the Palestinians would have to migrate once again. Bringing with them nothing more than souvenirs from Palestine.Given world conditions today who would accept them. i hope this helps.

According to recent studies, the predictions of Nostradamus, the Taliban and Hamas folklore, Israel will be around for ever. Read the articles. Hamas tries to deny it but its in their books.

For as long as blood flows in Jewish veins. I'm agnostic, but I respect the Israelis for fighting against terrorists for 61 years. The "Honorable" Arabs of the region seem to rewrite history every week to support their cause, such as it is. Even Hamas can't decide whether to claim responsibility for yesterdays attacks. The circle of lies they have built reminds me of Goebbels and the Nazis. Sooner or later, the people they claim to represent will see the truth. It may take near annihilation to waken them, just as it was in Germany. Then will they proclaim themselves to be the pawns that they obviously are?

There have always been Jews living in what is now Israel. Even Moslem and Christian tradition acknowledge the births and deaths of Jesus of Nazareth, and Abraham, as Jews who lived respectively 2,000 years & 5,000 years ago in this part of the world! At times there were very few Jews, due to repeated occupation & re-occupation by a succession of conquering Babylonians, Byzantines, Ottomans, Romans, Mamaluks etc.
In 2008, Israel is still a viable countyry, having one of the highest rates of economic growth in the world.

The incoming Jews in the 1800s, mostly from Russia and Romania, started clearing the land of swamps and malaria, scorpions, snakes & thistles, in preparation for the rebirth of Israel.

This Jewish effort to revitalize the land attracted an equally large immigration of Arabs from neighbouring areas who were drawn by employment opportunities and healthier living conditions. There was never any attempt to "rid" the area of what few Arabs there were, or those Arabs that immigrated into this area along with the Jews.
This contrasts with the actions of the governments of Morocco, Egypt, Iran (then Persia), Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon Syria & Yemen, who caused thousands of Jewish people to flee the homes that had been lived in by their families for generations. They ended up in pre-State 'Palestine'. (Even a cursory glance at the general Jewish population of Israel today, reveals a majority of dark-skinned Israelis, bearing testimony to their Middle-Eastern roots).
Islamic extremism doesn't only affect Jews or Israel; the Islamic 'government' in Britain has stated that they look forward to the day when an Islamic flag flies over 10 Downing Street; predictions are that by 2010, there will be more Moslems in Birmingham (Britain's second city) than non-Moslems.
Israel & the Jews are a convenient target at the moment, because Moslems can use latent anti-semitism in Christendom to help in their fight. If the Jews & Israel are defeated, the rest of the world should be scared - very scared. Because you WILL BE NEXT. The Moslems will not rest until the Islamification of the rest of the world. You will all be under Sharia law, and 'honour killings; will be your way of life

If you truely are a Jew then read the ancient prophecys.
They state that after the persecution they will be gathered up to the land of Abraham, from all four corners of the world. Then because of their transgressions, and evil acts, in violation of the Laws, God will destroy them and only a remnant will survive, and the land will become uninhabitable.
Well the persecution has happened and the gathering has happened, so what next..?? In Gods hands..!!

Hello,

(ANS) I don't think this is the right question, I don't think its a question of how long Israel will last to be honest with you.

**However I do think the chances of a horrible bloody war between the Hamas (extremists) based in Gaza and Israel are now VERY serious & almost inevitable. Why? because both groups of people are extremists, both are as bad as each other, both are reactionary, both make claims to the land based on religious twaddle written 2,500 years ago. Its all about power and control of land and ownership of land.

**NOTE THIS:- If the British hadn't been involved way back in the 1940's with the Balfore declaration the Israelis and the Arabs (Palestinians) would have battled it out and sorted it out one way or another with a clear winner & looser scenario but the British messed that all up. Now its even more of a mess!!

**As long as the USA continuous to fund (back) Israel with money & weapons there will always be stale mate in this situation. There is MASSIVE resentment in the Arab world due to the US backing of Israel. This is one of the main causes that fuels anger & terrorism amongst Muslims.

**The Palestinian people HAVE (fact) been treated very bad by the western world but internal chaos in Palestinian territories has not helped one bit. There has been a lot of internal corruption in Palestinian affairs and intense power struggles over politics which again hasn't helped the terrible situation of the Palestinian peoples.

Ivan

i love you eric
IT Wont last forever no, but there will be more senseless and horrible deaths in the meantime. israel has the might only coz its funded by the other mighty countries, as long as we continue to support these atrocities they will occur daily....

I would say about 25 years or so,but it with gradual reduction of territory, eventually just a rump republic consisting of Tel Avi promise. And even will eventually go under. There have been other experiments in creating artificial states - Czechoslovakia, for example,or the Soviet Union. Their shelf life is about 75-100 years,so going from 60 this way I would estimate 20-25 years. But it will be a slow retreat.

The real deal this time.
No millions of survivors to tell the tale either.
I'm gonna get me front row tickets and that's afact!
With todays gas prices this seems quiet near my friends, quiet near.

Hopefully they wont last much. Beside you have to remember that in the whole history no country lasted as powerful or great.
I believe that Palestinian men are strong enough to keep protecting their land and soon and hopefully very soon this will end.
