umm I was about 21 I think ... I spent my first 3 years in Med School eating solely in restaurants or order food in ... until the day came when it was mid February ... about 9 pm ... the temperature outside was -15 ... didn't have much money ... so I went down to the supermarket .. got a piece of steak .. a bag of oven-ready potatoes ... and I fried them .. it was sooo good ... then gradually I started letting go of restaurants and trying recipes at home ... |

I don't remember exactly!. I think I was around 9 when I made my first cake. I would always take a slice over to my elderly neighbour and she would tell me it was the most lovely cake ever. I think she was just being nice..LOL
My son loves to cook! He and his sister made apple crumble last night and he makes pancakes for us every Sunday. He has been able to do this since he was 6. He is now 8 so I'll have him cooking a lamb roast soon.....:D |

I was 11 when I cooked my first complete meal, start to finish...wound up with about a bathtub full of gravy that tasted very much like flour water...the rest of the meal was fine.
Mashed potatoes, fried pork chops, stewed tomatoes and cottage cheese and pineapple salad...and a butterscotch pudding pie... |
