It is my understanding that Jews are a division of the Semites, a Middle Eastern ethnicity.

This can be different from people who practice Judaism (Jews). People can convert and reject Judaism, but being a Semite is with you as your ethnicity.

(The reason they share a common religion amongst their religion is obvious, because a long time ago, people were not as mobile. Thus, people of the same ethnicity shared the same language, culture, religion, etc.)

Jews have a strong tendency to marry Jews. So there is likely a relatively strongly differentiated gene pool(s) which I imagine could be identified by science. Christians are usually not defined as an ethnic group. Often Jews are, and that's a fact.

Lots of people refer to being half this or that, so whether there is any science to back this up is to them largely irrelevant. Meanings are in people, not in things. So what's your problem anyway?

We live in a free world, you can call yourself anything you want.
Although I am 100% Norwegian and I have no ties with the Palestinians, I feel 100% palestinian in a spiritual way.
I am with the "Good Guys" like so many anti-israel posters here.
I could also be 100% jewish in the event a new holocost will break on our planet threatening the jews, but right now I am 100% against them.

My dad is jewish and my mom is christadephian...
So I grew up with both, but they never pushed any one of them on me.
I decided to follow the jewish faith when I was 16 by my own choice. I'm so glad I was able to see different ways however, I feel very open-minded to the world and their spiritual belief.

I'm also half hebrew as well, which some people call hebrews, jews...

well as all jews whine about anti-semitism based on the fact that they are a race as well as a religion,and the fact that discrimination against muslims or other faiths is ok because its not based on race, they can hardly complain about people refering to being half or part jewish.

Same way that someone is half italian or half greek or half arab.

No because by that logic italians are race of which they are not. Arabs are not a race as well. These are ethnic groups. Arabs, italians and Greeks are caucasians. Race was thought up from anthropologists who were white, hence through racism, ironically.

By saying I am only "half" Jewish, you'd expect to get some positive feedback. Truth is that you just fool yourself .You do not belong with us.
