what other country in the world wouldn't respond to hamas's attack on it's country - answer:
No country!- other countries would tell hamas if it doesn't stop shooting immideately it will target them no matter if civilians are around them or not. Israel has been much more tollerent until now on these issues and still is though it is discussing weather this is the right way seeing hamas doesn't stop it's attacks.

to conclude this i think it's very upsetting that u can't see that the ones who are trying to create a holocaust on jews again are the hamas- by their propoganda and education just like germany did. I promise u if it were the other way around hamas would have destroyed gaza and killed every last person there. just as they wish to do in israel.

Israel has a tendency toward overkill, and often retaliates forcefully and beyond what the US would consider fair. I do not believe Israel consults the US at all, or if they do, they take matters into their own hands. In this case it would be a good idea to at least consider isolating the thugs firing the rockets and dealing with them. So many times the retaliation has, instead, killed innocent civilians. There is no easy solution. Ever since Jewish refugees came to Palestine after WWII, they have met stiff resistance from members of the Arab community. Even as many Palestinians and Israelis peacefully coexist, the exchanges of violence spring up. This shows no signs of ever stopping.

Priority number one, therefore, is defense combined with dealing with the perpetrators. Some communication with the Gaza leadership beforehand might prevent an escalation. But how do you use discretion--if at all possible--if any prenetration of territory takes place? Once tanks roll in, planes fly overhead, rockets are fired, commandos are sent, or any military action is taken, all bets are off with regard to the safety of the civilian population.

As for the negotations with Mahmoud Abbas and the colaboration with Egypt, that is fine as far as it goes. I do not see much good coming from it as long as the thugs in Hamas continue to wreak havoc. The organization has strong grass roots support through their educational and charitable endeavors amongst the Palestinian population. It would take something brilliant to root out this deeply embedded canker.

Israeli leadership must walk a fine line between strength and preparedness vs. conciliation. Over the years, we have witnessed a remarkable resilience of the Israeli people and their leadership. In the end, as long as the opposing side refuses to legitimize Israel, the conflict will continue.

israel left gaza completely, and then the rockets started. i don't trust the arabs anymore. we can't believe anything they say. they whined for years about the occupation of gaza, then the occupation ended and they started the rocket attacks. they can all starve to death as far as i care. it's not israel's responsibility anymore.

They should flatten the whole place and then move in and take it over, that is the only way that they will stop the Islamic terrorists from murdering innocent Israelis.
If the people of Gaza support the Islamic terrorists then they cannot be considered to be non-combatents, If they choose to use their children to shield these terrorists then they mustn't cry to the world press when they get killed.

Good question. In the end I think Israel is limited. What they do is good as it reduces the number of Hamas terrorists but they need more accuracy to avoid civilians. The same happened in N. Ireland with the IRA regulary making cross border raids and killing anyone. Only after their numbers were rduced by the UDA direct hits, plus pressure from Irish government did they concede the game was up. Seems that its going to take outside agncies like Egypt that you mention to finish Hamas. Or Israel take them all out completely.

Q: Do you have an exact date when the rocket launching started by Gazans, prior to which there was no attacks from Israel at all?!

Sometime's its easier to say what's wrong than what's right.
Maybe Israel should respect Palestinian lives and don't kill them in hundreds. You talk about hundreds of rockets but if that's true then where are the evidence of that. It's only palestinians who get killed in masses. There was only one death on Israel's side in this current conflict.

Jews definitely have a right to live in Israel just like palestinians. If we were to rearrange the map of the world based on history then most of the countries in the world would be displaced.

I have two objections to your proclaimation
I can't believe 400,000 palestinians left their homes on their own accord without seeing an israeli soldier. this just doesn't seem logical to me.

and there seems to be a paradox in what you said

You try to imply it was only jews who contributed to this land but jurasalem was a holy place for jews as well as muslims and christians. They all endeavored to make it thrive.

Israel should withdraw from the land it is illegally occuppying Palestine. Israel must stop demolishing homes and stop all the endless crimes they are comitting i.e comply with the International Human rights laws and the negotiations as far as I'm concerned have been going on for ages

Someone on yahoo answers once beautifully qouted "Hamas is the excuse but not the reason". It is so true Hamas kill one of yours and you kill 100 most of them innocent Palestinian civilians in return.
ONE example of what Israel does: is that of a 12 year old girl who was playing with her family on the beach and the Israelis have shot 7 of her family members in front of her eyes, all of the sudden her whole family is dead. (This is just one crime out of many)
