I have a question for my dear Egyptians?

Is there any study about Egyptian genes or race that makes Egyptian the sweetest people you can ever meet !!

I am not kidding, I swear.

When I traveled to Egypt, I was so surprised how cheerful and outgoing they can be.

Few days ago, we had a road trip to CA and we stopped in some diner in LA.
I hared a lady speaking Arabic. I went to their table and asked her with my broken Arabic, where is she from. She smiled and said she is from Egypt.
I told her that I went to Egypt before and I loved it. Then this super nice lady invited us all to her house. She insisted that we must have tea or coffee with her & the family.
I was so humbled by her kindness and warmth. I said that we appreciate the kind invitation, but we have to get going. Then I was thinking, Egyptians then are nice and kind all the way, either if we are in their country or if we are here.

So, is it the race or the way of life? Or what….

oh God...
guys you ROCK...
I am going to Egypt (again) this summer... among with Jordan.
I was reading your answers and I remembered something that I saw 7 years ago in Cairo.

It was early in the morning & my friend wanted us to have the famous (Egyptian breakfast) !!
So, we were walking and I saw an old man cleaning cars. I looked at him & he looked ate me. He gave me the biggest, sweetest smile ever and said something – I didn’t understand it that time-
My friend translated this to me:
The old man said: I wish your day is as sweet as honey.
& I was blown away …. This great salute came from a perfect stranger who is happy and this positive attitude for life.

Many thanks RedWine, Lake Oswege, Ali baba, yousef & nana
You should be proud you are Egyptian; I am proud because I had the chance to visit this country and meet the people.

God bless you all

Ali baba and the 40 thieves!
Lol this is not just in Egypt it is also in other Arab nations. I totally agree with you though, Egyptians are kind to show that they care for you. When i go to Egypt my Aunts feed me food until my stomach bursts, lol it's their way of showing their hospitality to you.

I'm glad you liked Egypt, it is a life time experience and the culture is something that you will not find anywhere else. I think it's just the Egyptians way of life lol..I would like to say Thankyou for commenting on how kind Egyptians are It makes me very happy to read this and If any Egyptian read this they would be over the moon...

By the way well done for making an effort to learn arabic, it's not an easy language I know, but the people in Egypt appreciate it a lot if you try to learn their language.

God bless and take care..x

(Do come back to Egypt sometime we would be more than happy to welcome you back!!)

You put a big smile on my face and tears in my eyes. I'm Egyptian but live outside of Egypt. I miss Egypt so much. Egyptians have all what u said, which makes them so unique. Being away from Egypt exposed me to many different cultures, but to be honest I found that Egyptians are the kindest people you can meet. You can meet total strangers in the street, and they'll make u feel like family or close friends. It doesn't matter where u meet Egyptians, they are who they are and they are friendly, warm-hearted and loving..

bigdemo7
that's what make me left my country & start to be in Egypt

im sure they even dont know what is this
im sure too they even cant stop beeing nice & kidnly lol
wish you good time & happy trip in summer time

It is called the Arabic hospitality which you will see it almost in all Arabic countries. I been in 6 of them and I can not agree more with you.

Ismaily Rules
Hehehe.
That's so nice. Well, I guess it is not the race. It's the way of life. We call these manners "village manners". Your hostess must have been from a village in Egypt.
Within the village, all the houses are close and opened and everybody lives like a big family. I think many elements helped in these traits. Maybe because Egypt has never been a rich country, and maybe because it had been occupied during most of its modern history. So the people feel the need to stick togther and enjoy the company of eachother, and once you grow up like that, it becomes a habit within you.
I don't know, but thanks very much. That really made me happy. Egyptians are the coolest .............yupeeeeeeeeee

I agree with you. Egyptians are very sweet!

My boyfriend is from Egypt and I have some friends in Egypt too. They are all very kind, they always give their help without asking you anything.

Wow you are lucky for going to Egypt!!!!! I wish I could go, but we have financial, as the air ticket is very expensive either for me to go there and for him to come to my country snif, snif, snif.

But I am happy for you. Good luck!

Ohhh !! thank you am really proud ... its common here in egypt when an Egyptian is having coffee in a cafe and someone passed asking for a direction or something usually the egyptians offer a cup of tea or coffee or to share whatever eating or drinking and they insist ! ( ofcourse after answering the question) most of the time it ends up both having coffee together and chatting hehehe.. its a joke itself but its true ..Egyptians are very friendly and warm. You know what ..I think that this behavior is inherited from the Pharaohs..They had a real Sense of humor and This shows in many paintings, even their architects had a sense of humour. The Pharaohs smiled and laughed ,told jokes and funny stories. And by the way .. Bes is believed to have been the god of humour in ancient Egypt where five categories of humour were distinguished: political satire, scatological and vomiting humor, jokes concerning sex, slapstick, and animal-based parodies. It is alleged that Egyptians believed that the world was created by the first Egyptian God through laughter .
The tradition of hospitality in Egypt may also be traced to its nomadic heritage, Egyptians of today enjoy mingling with people of other cultures and consider it an honor to introduce them to their homeland. Indeed, honor is an important aspect of Egyptian culture, and an individual’s dignity depends on demonstrating patience and hospitality to guests. Like their nomadic forebears, today’s Egyptians often show their hospitality by breaking bread with others .An ancient Arab proverb states, “Ehna aklana eish we maleh ma’ ba’d” (“By bread and salt we are united”). Bread symbolizes life and the abundance of God, while salt represents purity and incorruptibility. Together, they signify the benefits of work, cooperation, wisdom, and peace.

The answer for your question is " Yes,Pharaonic blood flows in our veins " ..Please go to this site and read http://nefertiti.iwebland.com/people/humor.htm
it has also some pics ...Enjoy

I'm not egyptian, but i loved your question.
I have to agree with you 100,000,000%, Egyptians are the most kindest and sweetest people i have ever met in my whole life!!! i don't think there's another ethnicity that is as kind as they are.
I love Egyptians. My fiance is Egyptian and i'm not, and he is just so wonderful! I noticed the same awesome qualities that you noticed. I fell in love with his warmth, his kindness, and of course he is drop-dead-gorgeous!
I feel very honored to be marrying him because he is everything i want in a man. I feel very lucky to be marrying a wonderful Egyptians guy.
Not to mention his parents, they are unbelieveably kind and sweet to me, and they love me like i was their own daughter.
I think it's their way of life that makes them so wonderful. I wish all people in this world could be as kind as the egyptians.

Wise Heart
There is a book in Arabic and can be considered a complete study for the Egyptian character in details. If I translate the name it will be (Character of Egypt - A study in the genius - location) Writer : Gamal Hamdan
If you read the book you can understand how the Egyptian character is formed.

there is no such study, but i belive it's in our genes, maybe because we suffer alot scince thousaneds of years so our geanes decided to give us a self defence,so we laugh alot and smile almost all the time we also make helarious jokes
and belive me the Arabic hospitality has nothing to do with, also itsn't the village manners because in all the egyptian cities you will fined that most people act in this way

That's us your talking about, Egyptians...Egypt is a great country not only by its pyramids and natural beauty but also by its kind, tender and cheerful people...you're welcomed in Egypt and this Egyptian section anytime !

Ruby
Thank you very much Natasha for being so nice and sweet, I can see from you that not only Egyptians are like this ;) you're a very kind person. Welcome to Egypt anytime. I'm Egyptian but lived in USA most of my life and when I used to go for visits I realized how extra nice and sweet Egyptian people are. They are usually very kind and humble. Although Egyptian have many life difficulties and financial issues, they always tend to be cheerful and smiling. You can say this is just the Egyptian way of life. They live their day today and not think about tomorrow till it comes. I would like to mention that a lot of people from other countries are very nice too, but not in a similar way of Egyptians. Everyone has their own way of doing things.
Welcome to Egypt anytime! enjoy life!

Beck
you are easily satisfied they only treat you like that cause the egytians have got something with the foreigners : they simply drool all over them

Mad Dog
Thats not completely the truth ...
Some just get excited like when you see some alien get out of a saucer !
Or maybe because we aren't that busy to lose our purity
