You might want to research President Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe. As a case study or project this would give you many topics to discuss for instance the impact of his regime on tourism and the agricultural sector and the recent humanitarian disaster with their water supply. Zimbabwe has been a model for modernization and transition from the colonial rules and traditions left in place to embracing western ideals and colaborative progress with education and industry. Also you might research the plight of the caucasian citizens and their being run out of the country and driven from thier farms and land as if they were immigrants that are stealing resources from the other nationals of citizens. You could also look at the current economic state of Zimbabwe from being a leading export country to now a nation asking and begging for international aid or hand outs. Zimbabwe is a crisis on so many levels it is similar to a greek tragedy. |

Cell phones, microbanking and other initiavies are examples of progress in various African nations. But they're being countered by economic, health and political problems.
That might be a good approach. Start witha positive trend but include the fact that the story's not all rosy. There are hurdles for the various countries to surmount. |

Uganda has been fighting a civil war since 1970s up to today. i think this can be a best place to do your research on African conflicts
I'm a Ugandan and i have managed to conclude that war may not come to an end in Uganda. |

Why not be different and do a project about something positive in Africa? People run successful businesses there, there is good investment going on and on the whole, not everything is bad. |
