Who you think is right?
The Palestinians are the native people of the land and Israelis are the colonists.
Do you think it will end?
Yes it will end like most former colonies. Israel is the last colony in the world to be solved.
Do you think America shouldn't be involved?
No I don't think America involvement represents the American values in this conflict.

Bosco
It's analogous to the plot of H.G. Well's "War of the Worlds". Earth is invaded by hostile aliens who seek to take over and liquidate humanity. The similarity to the zionist agenda is so striking it is difficult to believe Theodore Herzl was not deeply influenced by Well's novel. Let us for a similar ending when the aliens die of a disease from which they have no immunity.
Perhaps Herzl never finished the book.

It's like any other colonial war of independence, only less clear to outside observers. Eventually the Palestinians will find a way to overthrow the Europeans and toss them out. This is right; they are moral monsters, war criminals,a brutal fascist colonial regime. America is the only thing holding up the weird "zionist" enterprise so it will be their defeat and obviously it won't be the first. The USG lost in Vietnam, and is losing in Iraq and Afghanistan. They will lose in Palestine.

People have a right to defend their homeland; Palestine has been under hostile occupation since 1921,intensely hostile since 1948. yes,it will end, just as the war in Vietnam ended. America isn't just involved,it is there puppet - just like the ill-fated regime in "south" Vietnam.

I am the best ...DUH!!!!!
Who you think is right?
Palestine is the right thing .. Israel just doesn't have any place to stay in
so it do a war withthem
Palestine will win
Do you think it will end?

Do you think America shouldn't be involved?

Millions of Palestinians are in refugee camps since almost 60 years, Millions fled the war zone to other countries and their right to return back to their homeland is denied. The Israeli killing machine killed tens of thousands of Palestinians in cold blood.
read this from a moderate Israeli newspaper about the latest terrorist acts against civilians:
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/978661.html

So many atrocities the Israelis are committing day after day against the Palestinians, supported by the American administration including blockade over 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza for almost 2 years, daily shelling and bombarding civilians in Gaza, occupation of Palestinian lands, 10s of thousands of Palestinians in Israeli jails, denial of their right to return to their homeland,
the real problem is that no one in Israel dares to give the land back to its owners. The right wing is very strong there and will never allow it

i think palestinians are right
because israelians just came took their land and started killikg them the world is just unffaaire!!!

any country could be involved to make peace but why should they give them weapons.Israeli is like the little brother of America. It shows to the world that Israeli needs America and America wants to take control of the middle east so that's why it supports Israeli.
I actually don't think it's right why would it be anyway.Killing innocent people is a sin and it should end. It's there land ,there home and how would they make peace in that way?Israeli should return Palestine's land back but it's just so hard for them to do that and it's annoying me.It won't even return Golan heights back. All it's doing is stealing land.I don't have a problem with Jews but i do have a problem with Israelis.

zion no more
Who you think is right? Palestine.
Do you think it will end? Yes
Do you think America shouldn't be involved? Americas should not have become involved.

Explanation.
Europeans from Germany, Poland, Russia etc moved to Palestine. They claimed ownership of the land and began a war that has continued for 60 years. You tell me, who is at fault?

The occupation of Palestine is costing the zionist government $9 billion annually and their economy can't afford it. Their population entered negative figures in 2007 after steady and continuous drop. They now have a manpower shortage in their army.

On the flip side, their enemies are becoming more powerful and more numerous and have been given good reason to take revenge.

Looking solely at the population composition, it has been calculated that ersatz israel will cease to exist in between 6-20 years. When it is gone, the war will end.

America has ensured war in the area for political reasons. They have vetoed the United Nations effort to take action against ersatz israel something like 69 times (?). They donate something like $3 billion to ersatz every year and supply all of their weapons of war.

arch0049
I think no one is right. The whole two state solution is bound to fail. They need to have one state. A secular democracy giving all Palestinians the right to return who were displaced after 1948 and 1967 Six Day war.

Will it ever end. I dont know.

Should the USA be involved. Yes, but not the spearhead. I think other nations like China, Russia, England, Brazil and India should also be involved. Because, what we have no with the USA as the sole peace broker between the two simply doesnt work.

I almost bypassed this question until I read “Wrenched’s” little diatribe. It starts out with a bald-faced lie. “Israeli's living on their land, given to them, and occupied by them should be allowed to live in peace on their own land.” Who gave it to them? Not the people living there. That statement is equivalent to stating that the Indians living in America ‘gave their land (America) to the Europeans. History shows what a ridiculous notion this is.

The land upon which Israel sits has switched owners many times over the course of human history and to lay the ludicrous claim that some god gave it to the Jews is pure BS. This single claim has brought more misery in that part of the world than a fair fight for the land ever would have. That is how land has always changed hands in the course of human history and as bad as that might be, it’s at least a better way to earn the right to occupy an area than to make up a story about some non-existent god who supposedly gave the land to the Jews. Not everyone believes that silly little fairy tale.

What gives America (a country on the other side of the planet) the right to “re-establish Jewish homeland?” Power and size does not equate to righteousness. The only land America has a right to give to anyone is land it occupies itself and Israel is not part of America.

What ‘Wrenched’ fails to understand is the strong possibility that there is no god and even if there is, why is this one of the thousands of gods the ‘real’ god? Using god as an excuse to steal land is just wrong. Also saying the international community in a legal conveyance had the right to give away another people’s land is an equally fallacious argument. How would America respond if the international community decided that Alaska should be returned to its previous owner because one of the gods in their belief said that was ‘his’ intention? I’m thinking Americans might do exactly what the Palestinians are doing.

America is quickly losing its power and influence around the world so one day a new world power just might decide that they want a chunk of this country to pay down the debt that America has stuck them with. China comes to mind. America is in debt with China up to its neck and if America thinks they could win a war with China at this point in history, I would disagree. We can just barely handle a war in a little country like Iraq.

I think that someday this conflict will end; perhaps when the oil in the region runs dry. I do not think America has any business taking sides in this issue. I think that the only reason America took sides is so that it would have an ally in that part of the world where the only commodity worth fighting over is the stinking oil.

I’ll just end by replacing the word Arabs with Jews in two of Wretched’s last three comments and see if they fit in an equally valid argument.

This conflict could end quickly if the intolerant and blood thirsty ‘Jews’ would turn their pursuits to those of peace and understanding, rather than hate and intolerance.

‘Jews’ should allow all life to be precious and to stop their killing ways; it is in their hands to do so.

To quote Wretched’s closing words, ”This is MY opinion as you asked...And just as sure as I write this, I'm sure some small minded, bigoted and intolerant people will want to signify their lack of compassion and understanding by giving my OPINION a thumb down.”

In my opinion, Palestine has a better claim to the land for the following reasons:
1. Religious.
While the fight is about land, no one can deny that religion is a part of it. Many Jews claim that they have a historical/biblical right to the land, as well as the city of Jeruselam. Ironicaly, only a slim percentage of professing Jews claim to be religious, and the majority of that percentage is made up of converts, and the majority of those don't even live in Palestine. The Palestinians, however, are practicing Mulims and Christians, with claims to such sights as the Dome of the Rock and Church of the Nativity (in addition to other Christian holy sights in Jeruselam such as the Holy Sepulcher). If the land were to be awarded on a religious basis, then the Palestinians would win easily.

2. Ethnic.
Some would claim that the Israelies have a claim to the land due to their Semetism. This argument is seriously flawed. The vast majority of Israelies are immigrants who have been living in Europe for the past two millenia. Over time, intermarrige would've weakened the Semetic genes to the point where European Jews are, geneticaly, more European than Semetic. On the other hand, the Palestinians are completely Semetic.

3. Historical
The historical claim is a tie, at best. The Israelies, who are largely immigrants from Europe have as many ties to Europe as they do Palestine. The same is true about the Palestinians who have been living in the area for millenias. History isn't the best way to fairly decide who has a better claim.

4. Legal
Many claim that Israelies have a claim to Palestine because it was created for them by the British. Again, this is a flawed argument, since the Palestinians were never consulted. While it is true that some (and only some) Palestinians sold land to immigrating Jews, the majority of Palestinian land has been forcefuly seized by Israel (take Deir Yassin for example). Legally, Palestinians have a much stronger claim to Palestine.

5. Conquest
There are also some who claim that Israelies deserve Palestine by right of conquest, but if this were true, then one could effectively claim that the majority of Western Europe belongs to Germany, which conquered it in WWII. Additionaly, it could be claimed that China deserves Tibet, despite Tibet's insistence that they deserve independence. Let's face it- might does not make right, and on this basis, the land should go to Palestinians.

6. Technological/Agricultural
Some claim that before the Israelies came, Palestine was rugged, unused, and undeveloped, and that the Israelies, who did develop the land, deserve it more than the Palestinians, who lazily did nothing. This is again, a flawed argument. While it is true that Palestine was largely undeveloped, this was not the fault of the Palestinians. The Ottoman Turks, have forced a Feudal System on the Arabs, prevented them from ever having access to modern tools, or having the ability to work large peices of land. The British were more concerned with controlling Palestine than developing it and because of these factors, Palestinians simply could not develop their land. Since it logicaly follows that, if the Palestinians had a choice between developing their land or leaving it fallow, would've chosen to develop it, then it is the Palestinians, not the Israelies, who have a better claim.

7. Democratic
Perhaps the most often used argument is that Israel is the only Democracy in the Middle East. However, the definition of "Democracy" is a government by the majority of the people. Since the majority of people living in Palestine are Palestinians (outnumbering the Israelies nearly 10 to 1), it would seem that there would be a Palestinian government- not an Israeli one. By the very definition, Israel is not a Democracy, since the majority does not have a say in the government. Some would argue that Israel has welcomed Palestinians to become Israelies, but again, this argument is flawed. Israel is aware that due to the Palestinian perception of honor, Palestinians will generaly refuse to become Israelies. Israel's encouragement is purely for the sake of appearing Democratic. If the Palestinians actualy did all become Israelies, they could literaly vote the government away from the Jewish-Israeli minority.
Furthermore, Israel, despite its constant denials, orders actions and legislates laws that are highly Un-Democratic. Israel uses an angency called the Bet Shin as strikebreakers, torturers, and intimidators. It is also against Israelie law to own, use, or wear a Palestinain flag or any reproduction of a Palestinian flag.
In short, Israel is NOT a Democracy and so no one can use the argument that a Democratic state takes precedent over a people group who may or may not form a Demcratic state.

In conclusion, it is the Palestinians, not the Israelies, who have a better claim to Palestine.

Recent polls have shown that Israelies are slowly trickeling out of Israel, suggesting that life in Palestine has become to taxing psychologicaly. History has shown us that all occupations eventualy fail, the only difference is how long they take.

Personally, I see no reason for the U.S. to be involved. The money that is used to give support to Israel could easily be used to fight internal problems such as issues with public schools, natural disasters, crime, and wildlife conservation.

do you think it will end? one day but for now we can only hope
do you think america shouldn't be involved? i think america should be involved because there are a lot of israelis that live in america and im jewish and i want to know what's going on and have my home country help.

i believe in the biblical story that G-d gave the jewish people israel to be their homeland which was formerly known as canaan and then the arabs had problems with israel and it wasn't officially israel until 1948. anyways i don't think it''s right that the israelites are participating in killing innocent civilians but the arabs have done so much more and all the suicide bombers have been arabs.

After 2000 years of exile the State of Israel was established 60 years ago. The Arabs started wars against Israel in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 and two Lebanon Wars. The Arabs slaughtered 26,000 Israelis in war and terror attacks.
Israel has right to exist. The Arabs have right to live in the vast Arab / Muslim world from North Africa to Indonesia.
The current situation will end only if the outside world give free hands to Israel to defat the terrorists. False cease fires and peace agreements will not work with terrorists.
The US is the one and only true superpower with moral rights and military power. The US should be involved in the Middle East in many different ways, as the US and Israeli interests dictate it.

What I think is: Life is precious.

Israeli's living on their land, given to them, and occupied by them should be allowed to live in peace on their own land.

Palestinian's with no right to the land, incited by their Arab brothers, that won't given them any of the huge amount of land that the do not occupy, continue to kill precious life for reasons that can only be considered illegal under international law.

It will end as all nations come against Israel and GOD stops the slaughter and renews this Earth as his Kingdom.

America was the first nation to confirm and accept the re-established Jewish homeland in 1948. Since that time the American people have stood firm with the right of the Jewish people to exist and to live on land given them first by GOD and then by the international community in a legal conveyance of the right to the land. The areas of the Sinai, Gaza and west bank were taken only as Arabs rose up against Israel, as she protected her sovereign right to exist. If the Arabs had kept their armies at home and not attacked a rightfully extant land they would not have lost these lands.

This conflict could end quickly if the intolerant and blood thirsty Arabs would turn their pursuits to those of peace and understanding, rather than hate and intolerance.

Arabs should allow all life to be precious and to stop their killing ways; it is in their hands to do so.

This is MY opinion as you asked...And just as sure as I write this, I'm sure some small minded, bigoted and intolerant people will want to signify their lack of compassion and understanding by giving my OPINION a thumb down.

the short answer is: i do not think it is a war, it is terrorists attacking a sovereign country. but:
i think israel is right
i think it will end when the messiah comes
i think america should be involved bc israel is an importent ally to the us.

War is not really about right or wrong, people fight over BS and the stronger side wins. They can then write the history however they please. Both sides are guilty of wrongdoing,so how can either truly be "right". It will only end when both sides are willing to treat the others as fellow human beings, which means it most likely will not end anytime soon. America is involved and will stay involved because it has to(think about or research the 1973 Yom Kippur war).
