If God exists, so why did he let happen the massacres, the genocides ? Why didn't God prevent the Holocaust? |
That's something I don't understand...
All the genocides that happened, all the wars, etc.
Even the nation called "The One", despite of being truely believer in God, has faced the most terrible genocide, .
How can God just sit and watch killings of millions of people, of millions of believers, without doing anything ?
Those victims, WHY did they die ? WHY God didn't intervene ?
Additional Details I mean : God should have make Hitler and Goebbels assassinated, should have helped Jews in Poland and Germany, etc
What was the goal of God ? Examples? A 12 millions people (6 million Jews) "example", for the future generations, as " a lesson" ?
That's so illogic ! |

I believe even if one human being is killed without a reason is a bad thing, OK? I believe Hitler was a madman too, but also I know for a fact that there was no holocostin, the way the jew media describe
http://iraqwar.mirror-world.ru/article_image.php?id=130513
According to the Red Cross records there was 271,302 dead jews and that's a fact.
Because the victims' relatives wanted to punish the Germans they made up the number of 4 million, and get as much cash from them they could.
http://www.christianparty.net/holocaust4.gif
Maybe God wanted the jews to fight instead of hiding in cellars and sewers like them rats.
The jews cannot fight.
Only their secret services do a mighty fine job. The jew soldier is a coward.
Don't you see what's happening in Palestine?
A bunch of Arabs forced the jews to demolish South Lebanon. From a distance.
With remote controls.
With US made goodies.
So please stop this no one likes likes them jews on this here planet. I don't hate them, I just don't like their style, that's all.
God let that happen to teach them jews a lesson for killing His only Son, I believe.
So everything is OK I guess if you think about it.
Also I believe that He'll teach them another lesson pretty soon for the suffering they created on the Holy Land .

This is indeed a disturbing question, and you are definitely not the first one to ask it.
The subject had been discussed by many theologians, sages and important religious figures over the ages, and several assumptions were offered.
I accept the thought that we will never understand god, as well as the idea of free will.
Do read the legend of Rabbi Akiva's crowns ("Be silent, for such is my decree"): http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0411/is_4_49/ai_68738707/pg_9

OK, three sided triangle. There is God-Humans-satan. There is your triangle. Who said it was God that let the holocaust happen? I'm sure that Satan was involved and humans. This life is a learning experience, the proving ground. Why does everyone think that this life is supposed to be heaven? Heaven is the reward. |

Very good question!
Here is your answer:
16 And HaShem said unto Moses: 'Behold, thou art about to sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and GO ASTRAY AFTER THE FOREIGN GODS of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake Me, and BREAK MY COVENANT which I have made with them.
17 Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I WILL FORSAKE THEM, and I will HIDE MY FACE FROM THEM and they shall be devoured, and MANY EVILS AND TROUBLES SHALL COME UPON THEM; SO THAT THEY WILL SAY IN THAT DAY: ARE NOT THESE EVILS COME UPON US BECAUSE OUR GOD IS NOT AMONG US?
18 And I WILL SURELY HIDE MY FACE in that day for all the evil which they shall have wrought, in that THEY ARE TURNED UNTO OTHER GODS.
19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach thou it the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.
20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore unto their fathers, flowing with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten their fill, and waxen fat; and turned unto other gods, and served them, and despised Me, and BROKEN MY COVENANT;
21 THEN it shall come to pass, when MANY EVILS AND TROUBLES ARE COME UPON THEM, THAT THIS SONG SHALL TESTIFY BEFORE THEM AS A WITNESS; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed; for I know their imagination how they do EVEN NOW, BEFORE I HAVE BROUGHT THEM INTO THE LAND WHICH I SWORE.
(Deuteronomy 31:16-21)
You can see this clearly in Joel 2 as well, how the connection of these things and the regaining of the land leaves no doubt that these prophecies have something to do with the holocaust(although this one could also be referring to the last war)
"Let the priests, the ministers of HaShem, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say: 'SPARE THY PEOPLE, O HASHEM", and give not Thy heritage to reproach, that the nations should make them a byword: WHEREFORE SHOULD THEY SAY AMONG THE PEOPLES: WHEREI S THEIR GOD?"
"Then was HaShem jealous for His land, and had PITY ON HIS PEOPLE."
"And HaShem answered and said unto His people: 'Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith; and I WILL MAKE YOU NO MORE REPROACH AMONG THE NATIONS;
"And ye shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and shall praise the name of HaShem your G-d, that hath dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be ashamed."
"And YE SHALL KNOW THAT I AM IN THE MIDST OF ISRAEL, AND THAT I AM HASHEM YOUR GOD, AND HERE IS NONE ELSE; AND MY PEOPLE SHALL NEVER BE ASHAMED."
If you didn't know..before the holocaust many Jews started leaving Judaism, influenced by the modern society of that time.
We are all responsible for each other, if one Jew makes a hole in the ship we all sink together.
Another thing your not looking at is the fact that every single human being that died in the hands of the Nazis be it a Jew, a gypsies or a homosexual was a whole world on his own. Every single human being that dies from any cause is a catastrophe for the people who love him.
While the destruction of a whole nation a huge catastrophe, an individual Jew dying in a suicide mission having his body torn into pieces simply because he was a Jew is not less of a catastrophe than an individual Jew dying in the hands of Nazis because he was a Jew. Where is God when this happens?
The holocaust was a mass destruction of Jews and God had his reasons for doing so, some of us didn't wake up yet, our spiritual ship is still sinking and God is still trying to wake us up.
But God also promised us that we will never cease to exist, Hitler didn't loose because of strategy but because of this:
35 Thus saith HaShem, Who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, that the waves thereof roar, HaShem of hosts is His name:
36 If these ordinances depart from before Me, saith HaShem, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me for ever.
37 Thus saith HaShem: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith HaShem.
(Jeremiah 31:35-37)
Being a Jew, you cannot accept only the good, you need to accept the good and the bad, they are both Gods word. |

I are you sure God didn't intervene in WWII? There are many who say we should not have won. He may not intervene the way you think He should, but then again who are we to question God?
I digress, because your question is wrong.
Since All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) Why didn't God just send us all to hell and start over? As you will see at a baseball game near you, John 3:16 For God so loved the word that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
He made a way out for us. |

Do you think that God is happy watching all of those raging jews killing all of those poor Palestinian babies, pregnant mommies, or shooting in the back blindfolded Arab boys?
I asked a lady here in my neighborhood to tell me of the future of israel and you know what she said to me?
She said that a something big, really big in the size of 100 earthquakes and 200 typhoons will happen in Middle East before the number 10.
Of course she means before 2010, right?
You see Iraq was not a simple hit-and-run mission. The jews involved the Americans in this unfair war that grew out of proportions with only one ally: The American Administration. Not the American people.
So they are playing with fire and they will get burned like they did so many times before in history.
Watch some of their ugly doings here:

God has reasons.
Or maybe not.
Life is senseless. So many things have no rhyme or reason to them. Maybe it has a purpose. Certainly it is hard to comprehend how something like the Holocaust happened.
I think of God as creating the world, dumping us in, and then letting us lead from there. He gave us free choice, after all. Sure, He can hope that we do the right thing. But if He were to say, "STOP!!! THAT"S WRONG!! Don't do THAT!!", it sort of defeats the whole purpose of free choice. Everyone makes their own decisions. Sometimes horrible things happen as a result of free choice. But sometimes beautiful things can occur as well.
I think that genocides and massacres and the like hurt God just like it hurts us when we hear about it on the evening news, except more so, because we are like God's children (and I'm talking all of humanity, not just the Jews).
I don't understand how the Holocaust could have happened.
I honestly don't.
But then, who can?
Maybe it was a warning of what can happen when we let hate go too far. In that case, we're doing a pretty lousy job picking up on the hints (Bosnia, Rwanda, Cambodia, Darfur, etc.)
Somehow, everything will turn out ok.
That's all we can do. Just hope. |

This question has been pondered by many a theologian and many an layperson as to "Why me, G-d?" when something bad happens to them.
I really really like this explanation from a Rabbi in Chabad, which is in alignment with my "random acts of kindness" way of thinking, and doing something to "pay it forward" and what an essence of what Judaism is about "tikkum olam" (to repair the world.) When one thinks this way, one adds personal responsibility and free will to make choices into the picture, not just praying to G-d for salvation without any "deed" which is what is actually required because we are in both a physical and spiritual realm.
Explanation in my own words is when a beggar comes and asks you for a handout, don't send him to a charity organization, as for this purpose you were created (to aide mankind.)
The Holocaust was not a lesson for Jewish people (except to learn we must defend ourselves) it was more of a lesson for the rest of mankind.
Here is explanation Rabbi Aron Moss, Chabad:
Quote: "If this ultimate question were answered, then we would be able to make peace with the suffering of innocents. And that is unthinkable. Worse than innocent people suffering is others watching their suffering unmoved. And that's exactly what would happen if we were to understand why innocents suffer. We would no longer be bothered by their cry, we would no longer feel their pain, because we would understand why it is happening.
Imagine you are in a hospital and you hear a woman screaming with pain. Outside her room, her family is standing around chatting, all smiling and happy. You scream at them, "What's wrong with you? Can't you hear how much pain she is in?" They answer, "This is the delivery ward. She is having a baby. Of course we are happy."
http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/622117/jewish/Why-Do-Bad-Things-Happen-to-Good-People.htm
/end quote
See why the question can't really be answered and why when people have an opportunity to act they need to act to repair the world, one small iota at a time *it all adds up.*
Judaism holds the essence of "what's up and what to do about it" but when unknowing people insist they know better it creates a recipe for disaster. There are only so many Jews in this world who are virtually in sync with each other and this is team effort of which so many others are still "out of step."
So hey, just try, and don't rely on G-d so much, pray and have hope, but action is also required.
And Rabbi Simmons also has an excellent reply to this question:

A lady who claims she's psychic said this: god gives us free will. If he did intervene then it's like this free will is taken away from us. She also said the reason why Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein did what they did is because in this cosmos someone has to play the villain. She was explaining that there is suffering in life because that's an important part of learning. She also said that when we die we are reincarnated. Before we reincarnate we choose certain things. Like for example let's say one person runs over another person in this life and cripples that person, they were both planning it for some reason.
Well the part about two people planning it, I don't know about because according to the Buddhist religion if you harm someone either on purpose or accidentally you have to somehow pay for it. That's why you do good deeds in this religion to lesson or eliminate any punishment.
I think that if god does exist he doesn't do anything because he doesn't want to interfere with what's going on. This is what I have thought before I heard what she said. If you do pray for something and you have faith in it, it may work depending on what it is. I have heard and read of cases where someone's prayer was answered. |
