In my opinion, Its really up to you.

I would do my research on both, by reading the Bible and the Quran and see which seems more logical to you. To me there is no right/wrong religion, it's a special relationship between you and god.

My advice is that you shouldn't listen to anyone else in this matter, yo have to make an effor to make your own decision.
Personally, I think that the decision is solely up to you. Speaking from an Islamis point of view, Judaism, Chritianity, and Islam are all religions of books (Trah, Bible, Qu'ran). Sinie you want to decide between Christianity and Islam, I recommend you do some research. Go to a local church, sit in on their lectures and such. Ask the pastor questions. Read the Bible. I'm sure they would be very helpful to you. If you are interested in Islam, go to the local mosque and sit in on a sermon (preferably on Friday since that is when some of the most "deep" sermons occur. If you want more information, pick up the Qu'ran and ask the Imam any and all questions you have (Imam is kind of like a pastor). Once you do that, you'll come to your own conclusion and then choose the religion that is right for YOU.

This is so strange! I REALLY mean it because...

I was going to pose a question VERY similar to this! I am an "Israeli" (Although I never call myself such and hold onto the passport in order to see family and humanitarian work) Jew and have had great difficulty of late with some aspects of Judaism.

I STRONGLY believe in God and the Oneness of God.

This is just my own opinion: Judaism is a very complex religion because of course, Jews are also a family. There are so many aspects TO Judaism, so even if you don't believe that the Torah is the literal word of G-d, for example, and even if you get nothing out of attending Synagogue, what about all the common sense and wisdom and wit and compassion enshrined within Judaism?

I'm not a very religious person, and I do think that almost all faiths have something valuable and rather lovely within them. But I could never leave Judaism because our heritage is such a complex and unique one. Look at what our tiny Jewish family has survived! Look at what Jews have accomplished! Look at what Israel has accomplished - she is such a tiny nation, and sure she's not perfect, but she is a leader in technology, in medicine, in so many fields!

Surely, even if the religion doesn't hold you, you feel a connection to the Jewish history and the Jewish family?

To be Jewish is a challenge and at times not a very enjoyable one. But in my humble opinion, it is wonderful to be part of the Jewish family and there is a lot of good within the religion, even if you have to go searching for the parts that strike a chord within you and even if you don't 'fit' into any one of the mainstream Jewish movements :)

No one can tell you-you will just have to research them both and decide. All true religions are based on love so make that your criteria. How does Judaism stand on that? I'm not religious but I could not possibly miss the love that Jesus had for people. What His followers do with His words is another question. I know nothing about Islam. Hope you find the right one.

i was christian - catholic and am now a muslim. have been for ooooh 3 1/2 years now. very happy, very very at peace

so if you are really interested i suggest you google "scientifc miracles of islam" that was the turning point for me and i started to read more and more because i was a science geek! lol ! it made sense to me.

i mean i can point out so many flaws with Christianity and Judaism and Islam have far far more in common than Christianity

Hmmm.. its up to you.. Islam doesnt have the trinitarian concept, and Islam is all for the oneness of God, and God does not beget nor was he begotten..

Christianity also supports the oneness of God, but it has the trinitarian concept too.. the 3 in 1 package..

If you are an Israeli Jew and no longer believe in Judaism, you can join whatever religion you do believe in; or you join no religion. Any of these options is perfectly okay in Israel.

It is my understanding that once you are born a Jew you die one too, you can convert to your hearts desire but you will die a Jew.

Why convert to any religion at all. I mean you could be Agnostic or Atheist and still keep some aspect of a Jewish identity.

But once you convert to another religion like Christianity or Islam then you forfeit your right to a Jewish identity.

Israel and the Israel travel section isn't your personal playground to do with what you wish as a whim Kevin, to flip back and forth between being a gentile and being Jewish. There is R&S category if you insist on having a public venue, and Rabbi and your family etc to discuss these issues with in private, and that is the proper venue.

From my very first post with you I told you to discuss issues with a Rabbi and you said you were doing that as you were "studying." If you refuse to do so but make posts online about things in Israel travel section that are between you, your family, your Rabbi and G-d then to me it is just trolling.

Nobody really knows if you are in fact Jewish and from my first post to you I questioned it, as this is an internet forum where people can say what they like. I can tell you that if you are then obviously you have issues that cannot be addressed in an "open forum" such as this. I refer you back to my very first statement to you, to take it up with a Rabbi. He will probably tell you what anyone else here would tell you that is in fact Jewish, that these matters are actually between you, your family, your Rabbi and G-d.

Christianity "attempts" to love. Islam is blatantly supportive of terrorism. Many Christians are deeply supportive of Israel & the Jewish people. Islam, on the other hand, hates both Christians & Jews.
