If you want to pick on Islam, you have to learn about it. If you had, you would learn that in a time when women were property, considered souless and good for little else than men's pleasure and making babies; Islam stepped forward gave them rights, priviledges, and made them equal to men. Under Islam, women could inherit property, take part in business transactions, choose their husband, and had the right to be cared for and protected. In a time when women were forced or expected to wear little or no clothes, Islam gave them the right to wear whatever clothes they chose, to rebuff sexual advances of men, and to protect themselves and their homes.

But back on point. I would like, if I were not human, to be a housecat.

this is an interesting Q , Farah, as usual from you.
i really dont see myself as another species , fror im content with what God has chosen for me.
however, i 'll play with the idea for fun.
i would like to be a sea gull which is a big white bird that exists on shores and flies over land and sea.
i choose this bird bec it's a bird of good omen for sailors . when they catch sight of a sea gull, they know they are close to land, to safety.
i also choose it bec it can fly freely from land to sea . i like this bec im fond of the sea, but have to live on land.
another reason is that no one shoots it , for it would fall into the sea, and no one is ready to jump into water to catch it. moreover, i havent heard any account of the taste of this bird.
another reason is that it lays eggs on window shelves . people love seeing the eggs and dont touch them bec they love this bird and want to see more of it.

Note : i notice that some answers delve into questions dealing with islam and the higab , and equality between men and women .they take the ground to abuse a wonderful relgion that does no harm to them. the question is simple , so please stick to it and leave issues that you dont know anything about till you are well informed about them , or at least when you are asked about them.

I agree with you, being a horse would be my most favorite. Because I raise horses and I love them.
But, I also have interest in flying my Hawk, Jezabel. I got into flying predatory hunting birds, when I was in Egypt. They are wonderful, so that would be my second choice
