wow!! difficult question :D

actually i believe that most of the Egyptian Eras where,sadly, harsh, and witnessed a lot of wars,diseases, famine, occupation.....................but what is beautiful about our country Egypt, is that we never lost our "Identity", really great people.

i'll tell you that in each era there were "Heros" that all of us would be proud to live in their times.
actually i love all eras, with all its pains, and i love also this time with all its harshness and cruelty, for it's a challange to me to prove myself, and all of us, that we deserve to live in this beautiful Egypt.
so, i'll choose this time, and live its cruel reality.
sorry, if i didn't answer your question as you wish, but i really love what i really am. :D

I think I’d be back to the Pharoes era. Especially, in the reign of Ikhnatun and Nefertiti.

May be 50 years back too. I’d like to see the time of July’s revolution. lol, have you ever noticed that people were excessively polite 50 years back?! When I watch old movies, I feel like.. omg.. those people were very kind and decent. I’d like to see how people were happy to have their country a republic. I’d like to see their dreams for us, and if we achieved them or not.

Books, history tv programmes, movies, articles, all may not be true. There’s nothing as realistic as living something yourself.

What a nice question, first of all i have to agree a lot with Nada's answer, but if i had a time machine, i would rewind my life back to when i was young like 6 or 7. It was a different Egypt then, people were much more family oriented and still had time to enjoy themselves and live their lives.

People were extremely helpful and sincerely cared about each other. Your family included yr friends, neighbors, colleagues and anybody who came into yr house.

Please don't misunderstand me the people are still the same they only lack time and resources. We r living in much harder times and don't have time to enjoy each other.

Then i will fast forward this time machine to see where we r all going and what i could do to help change the future coz i feel what is done is done and shouldn't be changed no matter what.

I would'nt want to change anything from Egyptian history, it is our heritage, it is what makes our Country the best & most interesting... look at how many outsiders come here on these pages talking about us, sometimes nonsense but that is because they are jealous of what we have & what we have acheived!
! If i had a time machine i would go back before i was born & make a medical cure for my brother to stop him from dying & to stop my mom from her illness!

I will go back to the year of 1967 and encourage Gamal Abdel-Nasser to change his mind about resigning his position and continue his ideology of defending the Arab Nationalism and the people's right to be free. I would also change the time of his death from 1970 to a later year, so that he will have enough time to rebuild the Egyptian army.
