Namibia is in SOUTHERN Africa, and used to be a German colony. |

The country you mean is now called Namibia. In the 1970's and the 1980's it was a territory of the republic of south Africa. It was called Southwest Africa. Now it has gained independence and it is a seperate and independent country. it is called namibia and the capital is called Windhoek.
the white Community there speaks German. this was due to the area being a former German colony from the late 1800's and finally lost at the end of World War ll.
From then it passed on in control of the British under control of the Republic of South Africa. In other words it was a territorial possesion of South Afrcia.
Now it is Namibia and the white community speaks German there in that country. (also English is spoken there) |

South Africa IS a country, so I think you must mean southern Africa (the south part of the continent). If so, the country you're thinking of is Namibia. |

I am sure you think about Namibia. Formerly known as South West Africa and was a colony of Germany. |

In South Africa (the country) you do find 'n few German speaking comunities. The small town of Kroondal is one. The country also has quite a few German schools. |

You wanted to say, 'Southern Africa'. Presently Namibia used to be Deutsches West Afrika till 1918. . . .where men still dream and sunsets look like a flame like sky |

Namibia is an ex German Colony, the capital is Winhoek however I have been to Namibia and to be honest not that many people actually speak German there anymore, English is more commonly known pretty much world wide, however if your English is limited you probably can get by just as easy in your own language |

Although South Africa has a number of german speakers. It is a southern african country to the north west of the Republic of south africa where the white population speak german (or a form thereof). It is called Namibia and was previously South West Africa, it is a beautiful country known for its diamonds. |

My daughter attended a boarding school in a place called Wartburg near Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu Natal. The community was German and the school catered for German children. Its mostly farm community but I can highly recomend the school and boarding facilities. |

South Africa is a country but what you mean is Southern Africa. In that case it is Namibia. Namibia was colonized by the Germans and therefore speak German. |
