Is Egypt the only country that does not value its people? |
Is Egypt the only country that does not value its citizens? It seems like Egyptian are usually humilated and treated badly in their own country? It is so saddening and unfair to see Egyptians treated as an inferior race in their homeland and foreigners carrying a different passport, whatever may it be, are treated as a superior race. Does it all have to do with wealth and money? Do u have a hope that this will ever change? Have u had a bad experience with this issue being an ordinary Egyptian living in Egypt? I have not had such an experience myself (thank god) but we all hear about it and see it everywherel around us. I hope that one day the Egyptian citizen will be respected and appreciate in his own country because that is only how it is supposed to be! Does the same exist in other countries or is it only in Egypt? How do u think this can be changed? |

dont know much about other countries...
but i can say that its the same here in Pakistan as well...
foreingners are given priority over the locals... and then the wealthy society comes and then the middle class and so on...
its like we follow the 'rule of the jungle" "chain of life" here too... i.e the survival of the fittest!
an ordinary man cant get things done unless he gives bribe or bring a letter from someone he knows up in the heirarchy...
everybody would try to con you and take advantage as much as he can, to do something for you besides the fact that, that work is his duty!
this wont change ... bcz you will have to change each and every person for that and thats impossible...
ruler/government can only change this and i doubt if they are interested in doing something about it.. thats humilating enough...
as it is quoted... Every nation will get a ruler just like they are... if the nation is corrupt then why blame the leader/ruler he is also from the same nation! |

Poland was the same before. but we crossed it. the problem is that in Poland it was of power of foreign country, in Egypt it's because of Egypt itself |

I am Scottish and i come to Egypt every year for my holidays as i love the people and country so much.
I always treat the Egyptians with the respect they deserve.
I have made many friends and we keep in touch regularly.
egytians are wonderful people and should be treated better. |

yes , Most of African countries, (we can subtract Libya, south Africa, Tunisia, ) from that,,,are almost the same,,,and we can add Russia, Turkey ,Yemen, and Cuba, (long time ago Romania too, not now)...to the list (humiliating their citizens) |

i don't think egypt is the only country where its people are humiliated, the solution in my point of view starts at the lowest possible level, home and in schools with the kids. |

Africa as a whole is in pretty awful shape. A lot of internal turmoil is the result of different tribes of people (for instance, if you've heard about what's going on in Darfur, that involves the Hutu and Tutsi tribes (though I think I may have spelled those wrong.)
The world is not a very nice place. |

actually I have no hope but at the same time I have hope that Allah will do a miracle...every time I go to Egypt I can't bare it.. I went one day to make id ( el raqamm el qawmi) and they were sending me from one person to another..then they told me go and talk this officer as I approached him I told him alsalamo 3alaikom with a smile and respect and he wass nearly 10 years younger than me...he looked at me and he said and what do you want he was shouting Na3am wa enti 3awsa aih enti kaman ana mesh fadilek and he was weaving his hands towards me and all I said to him alsalamo 3alaikom he almost pushed me..I can't even describe how I am feeling till now... wa7ed 3ayel wa mabsout eno zabet.. and he is using the power that he has, for humiliating people and showing them that he is powerful ..that is what happening in Egypt...fi morakab na2s |

Since U.S.A. has become more of a debtor nation the same thing more or less is taking place. Everyone seems to clamor for the Euro dollar. Even Jay Z a champion of the little guy in rap boasts about his Euro dollars and says that's where all his money is now. So it looks like money talks, B.S. walks for now.
By the way, Ruby you look sensational if that is your real avatar. |

i think you had bad image about treating citizen in Egypt, while you can find officers,or political persons treated like kings ,so from where you feel that Egyptian citizen s treated badly |

I would guess that most countries don't value their citizens for this reason-to the ruling class the average person is a workforce to be exploited,or a voting body to be lied to and flattered, or an unstable force to be kept down...but the one thing the citizens are not seen as(by the ruling class) is a diverse group of individuals with wants and needs that should be respected. This tendency is more pronounced,I think, in countries with a larger gap between rich/poor and a small or non-existent middle class.
That might sound a little conflict theory-ish, but its what I believe to be true. |

No. Look at the mideast and Africa. They don't value half their population all the time: the women. |
