yep. thousands and thousands of workers built the Great Pyramids.

They are all man made, and with great architectural and mathematical precision.Still unsurpassed in these times.
There are over 200 pyramids that have been investigated and recorded by Archaeologists and Egyptologists through out Egypt.
It is believed that many more existed,but were destroyed either by time or by man.
It was common practise to reuse the masonry for other buildings in later eras.This went on up until the mid 19th century.
This is were most of the beautiful white and pink granite that originally covered the "Great Three" at Giza disappeared to.
Pyramid building as an eternal resting place for royalty began early in the 4th Dynasty of the Old Kingdom,(over 5000 yrs ago) and continued in various forms until the late Middle Kingdom.
By this time the size of the pyramids had decreased.With more emphasis put on the surrounding mortuary complex and temples.
The shape of the pyramid, is related to the primal mound or "ben-ben" that all life was thought to have originally risen from.
In the Old and Middle Kingdom, pyramids, particularly those at Giza and at near by Saqqara,had other significant buildings that belonged to them.
These were in addition to the mortuary complex and solar boat, that would be built adjoining the pyramid.The mortuary temple was usually built on the eastern side.
The whole area was surrounded by a wall.This would be linked to a causeway that lead to was was called, The Valley Temple.
This was built on a man made inlet of the Nile,for those arriving and departing to pray and take part in rituals. That were often part of the cult that was formed for the Pharaoh buried there.
There would also be a sun temple,built a short distance away.
This was evident if the owner of the Pyramid belonged to the growing cult of Re' the Sun God.
In the centre of this temple rose an obelisk that was the temples focal point.
The pyramids required a mighty ongoing labour force. Only a small proportion of these were slaves About 30% were farmers who would come willingly to represent their area or nome, in the season when little farming was required.Of the others there were many skilled masons and artisans required.Also men of other trades that are involved in building.
At Giza there are the ruins of the town were around 5,000 people lived ,including the families of the builders.There were shops of all types ,doctors ,dentists and merchants selling food. All the requirements of a thriving "company" town.
This included a cemetery,were the bones of those discovered show they worked hard, but were well nourished.

Yes it certainly was. I do not understand why people may not believe it if they know that MEN dug the Suez canal, built the China wall, etc etc. Actually man is capable of doing so many great things.

100% man made. God-aliens and other non physical beings had nothing to do with them. Do you have any idea how many pyramids are around in Africa. They are a dime a dozen. It took the Egyptian architects a few tries to get the thing right but they did. Herodotus raves about the Egyptians and considers them the smartest people on earth.

Yes! what do you think, a turtle made them? The Ancient Egyptians made them to honour their dead, and they made it really confusing to find the real treasures so theifs cant take anything. I should know! im from that area!

hmm...honestly i think they were, but ialso think that, not trying to be racist, but nobody wants to admit that they had the tools back then (africans, who are not generally thought of as being intelligent, although I DONT THINK THIS WAYY!!!..) that they thought of such machines loooong before anyone else. wen i say machines i mean levers and pulleys. i cant begin to think how they couldve done it, but i think they used levers and pulleys. i dont know what other explanation. how could they get the bricks at the top without something to help.

OK from 6000 years ago there was no machines o it was 100% man made and they were more stronger than people now days but some say (not true ) that the ancients make the place of the pyramids without gravity to build it (again not true) thanks a lot

NO! These were created by several colonies of gigantic Army Ants. Each colony was crushed as they they placed the final stone on the top of each pyramid. It was quite a mess, really.

But, that was what the Sphinx was for; just to create the question ...........................................
