Yes,I think that was obvious when he was in office. By the way a former president retains the title for life. He is still President Carter. I think he is a man of immense personal courage and powerful convictions.

I don't know if I should consider him as a great personality, but what I can say is that his conscience woke up and he is only saying the truth about his, and other leaders contribution in oppressing small, weak poor countries.

I agree with him entirely; it would be unrealistic to exclude them. He is a fine statseman; we saw that in 1978 and again in 1994. he is underused.

I respect the fact that he is trying to solve an issue that our current government leaders are not achieving. In order for us to solve a conflict, we must be mediators and not impose our beliefs on others. If that region chose Hamas then we must respect their decision and allow them in the negotiations. The Arab nations will respect us highly by our example. President Carter is leading by example and I respect him for that. Those who are afraid of his actions are truly afraid of peace. Learn Mr. Bush from this great Former President.

I spent some time today reading the Hamas Charter..I was amazed that much of the hatred toward the Jewish people was based on the 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion', which unless you are an absolute idiot or a fool is plagiarism at best, pure and simple Scata at it's worst..So, an 'American Statesman' or any statesman that takes this group seriously, must be evaluated for Mental Illness...Oh, I am not Jewish, and I am not a Christian..Oh Cripes! Jimmy Carter needs to stick to something he knows and that's counting peanuts. His views mean nothing to me. The man single handed almost destroyed the family farm with his idiotic politics. He's like the Clintons he just don't know when to go home. I can tell you this and that is if he don't keep his butt out from around those terrorist they are going to make an example outta him when his ability to get attention is gone.
