No i dont belive it is from "genetics", and no i dont belive that people who are homosexual didnt choose to be that way, because, i know gay people, and they say of course they didnt choose ot be that way, if they chose they would be straight, society, no i dont belive it is society, people would want to fit into society not stand out because they are homosexual's, and as for the envirometn once again no one would choose it, especially not because the minority of the enviroment it homosexual, and it is not a combination of any of them..... my opinion is...if they really choose not to be they can take it to God, God at this point is the only thing that cant stop them from bein this way, and you cant just pray and ask it to be gone, you have to go to God with an open and humbled heart...He is the only thing that can change it, so my answer to your question, is that it is none

Who knows, probably a combination of factors some of which we probably don't even know about. All of which probably changes from person to person.

Most homosexual people will tell you they were born that way. It is a normal part of human sexuality and has been observed in over 400 other species. In cultures where there are no religious objections, homosexuality is seen as normal activity. Whether one is inclined more towards homosexuality than heterosexuality is probably genetic although the genes involved have not yet been identified.

I think it is definitely genetic. Most homosexuals tell you they knew at a very young age they were homosexual. And who would choose this lifestyle the way they are persecuted?

i think that it's down to environmental factors.

It has been around since the Human Race started, and sometimes Animals Practice it as well ,so I would say some People are inclined that way Genetically.

Well, think about it. When you choose something, you try some of both and then decide which one you like. Do you prefer Pepsi or Coke. You try them both. I do not recall choosing to be heterosexual. I just started getting an erection whenever I saw pictures of sexy women. God knows I never tried homosexuality. The very thought of it makes me puke. Therefor it must be genetic. If it is genetic, then GOD created it. God knows that many of our planets most creative artistic people are GAY. And think of all the people who watch over weight men hug and rub each other under the pretense that they are professional wrestlers. The problem is, if they are allowed to marry, which one will be the wife?

People love whom they love, and are attracted to whom they are attracted to. No amount of environmental influence can change that.

Say what you like to explain the whys & wherefores of homosexuality but ultimately it gets down to an expression of the free will that God has given us .
In other words , we each have the ability to CHOOSE ! We can explain it away as genetics or whatever but like so many other forms of human behaviour , it all gets down in the end to us making a decision !
The point to consider is that even if you look at it from the viewpoint of nature , it is clearly AGAINST the order of nature as nature clearly defined the act as the method to reproduce the species which clearly a same sex union cannot!
So , that being said , I believe that while all the above elements may be reasons for people to feel the way they do , clearly in the end it gets down to a personal choice !

Well I certainly did not choose to be a lesbian and since I knew in kindergarten that I did not like little boys I'd say it has to be a majority genetics to blame.

I would say it s a combination of all three that you mentioned but one that has the greatest effect to me is socialization. It depends on the culture you were brought up in and how you view homosexuals.

It's a product of environment. I know that people will hate this, but it has also been proven that if you have a bad relationship with your parents (like a boy with an abusive mother or father), you will be more at risk to be homosexual, wither because you're looking for the love they never gave you, or you're repulsed by the whole gender.
Humans are so varied, you can't say, "HIs brain is shaped this way, he's obviously gay." If it were in the genes, we could just get a gay test and have it all said and done, but we can't, which means that it's a variety of factors, but genetics isn't one of them.
On the same note, most people don't just wake up one day and decide to be gay, acting on your feelings is a choice, but your feelings aren't usually.

Its got to be genetic, so many gay people go through so much pain about their sexuality. They worry about coming out to their friends and being rebuffed and worry about how their family will react and will they be hurt. This cant be about choice for most, its who they are.
