They are Jewish, with polish ancestry (according to Jews, and as long as its the MOTHER that was Jewish.)

Israel is located in western Asia not far from Iran and "old Persia."

Also, anyone from Europe or Asia could be called "Eurasian" as it is one Continent but for some reason Europe is considered as a separate entity sometimes.

Some people have answered completely wrongly.
For instance regarding the language being similar to German?

That person is getting mixed up with the language called Yiddish. The language of Israel is Hebrew. Yiddish was spoken mainly by Jews in the old iron curtain countries and it not used very much these days.

Regarding the continent.
Israel in in Asia.

No if's and but's about it.
It is right in the corner of Asia.

Example.
Eilat is the southern-most town in Israel.

There is a road leading from this town to the airport, called Ovda, which is about an hour's coach ride. On the left of this road is a fence. Not a big wall like the Berlin Wall used to be - just a simple fence.

You are in Israel - the other side of that fence is Egypt.
You are in the Negev Desert - the other side of that fence is the Sinai Desert.
You are in Asia - the other side of that fence is Africa.

Also, Eilat borders a town called Aqaba which is in Jordan.
and from Eilat you can see Saudi Arabia.

So in this tiny little area there are 2 deserts, 2 continents and 4 countries - and hey! - they all get along just fine.

One more thing.
Regarding being Jewish and Polish.
One is a religion and one is a nationality.

Yes, we often hear jokes that start something like, 'Have you heard the one about the Englishman, the American and the Jew?'

Silly, isn't it? 2 different nationalities and one religion.
You never hear jokes that start 'Have you heard about the Englishman, the American and the Christian?'

Funny that.

So, in other words if someone is Polish and Jewish - they are simply a Polish Jew - just the same as someone else may be an English Christian.

End of lesson.

Tatty bye

The US State Department considers it to be in Asia. Although in the Middle East, the ME is a region, not a continent. A Jewish person is someone of the Jewish religion, not necessarilty from Israel. You can be a Polish Jew, just as if you were an American Jewish person. Not many would consider an Israeli/Pole eurasion, although that is what they would be.

Actually it is in the near east abutting the s/e Mediterranean Sea. A Eurasian is person of mixed European and Asian parentage.

Israel is in Asia. But when it competes in regional athletic/talent competitions, it isn't allowed to compete in the Asian division because of the Arab boycott on Israel, so it ends up competing in the European division. Same holds true politically.

If someone is Polish Jewish Israeli, that doesn't make them Euroasian. Many Polish Jews were forcablly segregated from the non-Jewish Polish population while they were living in Poland, so in effect, they have very little amounts of Polish/European blood, if any.

Neither. It's in the Middle East.

Israel is in the middle east sometimes it is referred as Asia but its in the middle east

Isreal دَوْلَةْ إِسْرَائِيل‎,
is a country in the Western Asian Levant, on the southeastern edge of the Mediterranean Sea. It borders Lebanon on the north, Syria and Jordan on the east, and Egypt on the south-west.

The Levant is an imprecise geographical term historically referring to a large area in the Middle East south of the Taurus Mountains, bounded by the Mediterranean Sea on the west, and by the northern Arabian Desert and Upper Mesopotamia to the east.

"The Levant is a land of ancient civilizations which cannot be sharply differentiated from the Mediterranean world...The Levant has a character and history of its own. It is called 'Near' or 'Middle' East in relationship to Europe, not to itself. Seen from Asia, it could just as well be called the 'Middle West.' Here, indeed, Europe and Asia have encroached on one another, time and time again, leaving their marks in crumbling monuments and in the shadowy memories of the Levant's peoples."

"Ancient Egypt, ancient Israel and ancient Greece, Chaldea and Assyria, Ur and Babylon, Tyre, Sidon, and Carthage, Constantinople, Alexandria and Jerusalem are all dimensions of the Levant. So are Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which clashed in dramatic confrontation, giving rise to world civilizations, fracturing into stubborn local subcultures and the multi-layered identities of the Levant's people."

Eurasian - a term that refers to those of mixed European and Asian ancestry, regardless of continent of origin.

Israel is in Asia, but culturally it is European. It happens to be at the crossroads of the (old) world, where Africa, Europe and Asia come together, but geographically- Asia. Eurasian is more a matter of ancestry and genetics than immediate homeland. Jews are semites, and semites hail from the Middle East which happens to be a part of Asia. So the overwhelming majority of Jews would be Eurasian by default, excepting those who converted from non-Eurasian lineages. In addition, much of Ashkenazi Jewry (predominant in Europe) is descended from the Khazar turks- a tribal kingdom in southern Russia that converted en masse to Judaism in the Middle Ages. So most European Jews, and especially Poles, would be Eurasian anyway. Last thing: one can be Jewish and not Israeli. While any Jew has the right to citizenship in Israel, not all do. One can be Jewish and not Israeli, just as one can be Catholic and yet not live in the Vatican. Many Jews choose to live in Israel, and many don't.

israel, the country is in Asia, it used to be called Palestine but the Jews demanded its name Israel with international help they made it, but Jewish People originate from Palestine since biblical times but polish are european, israelis are Asian

geographically its in the Middle East which is a part of Asia, but economically and politically its considered part of Europe.

pondering
Hi,
You're not the first to ask that question. First, you should know that Europe has no specific borders, and in fact it is one continent with Asia (geographically).
Israel is in many aspects more of a European country than an Asian one, but I believe it is considered an Asian country.
As for your second question, I really don't know...

Israel is an area used in the past by refugees and later militias who created an army who was placed in that area for certain political reasons of the major powers in the world. Although the residents believed it's a real country many other people in the world see it was never been a nation. It's an artificial unique compound made by force and till now has no official borders and rejected by all the population around it. Part of the culture there is not to accept others opinions and to be always aggressive and think about using force as there is no logic can be used if you consider always that you are the only one who thinks right and has all the truth and the rest are your slaves on earth.
Sorry for Israelis It's my opinion I didn't mean to hurt your feelings
