If one calls for the destruction of Israel, denies it the right to exist, demands repatriation of Palestinian refugees into its pre'48 borders, equates Zionism with racism and denies them a right to military aid for the sake of self-defense, yes. If one supports negotiations with militants or views them as freedom-fighters, yes. If one calls it a militant state, yes.
People who support an end to settlements and land seizures in Palestine along with the creation of a homeland with East Jerusalem as a capital are asking for fairness towards Palestinians. Legitimate concerns about human rights, economic issues, collective punishment, mobility, roadblocks, housing, etc. is not anti-Israeli. People who suggest alternate approaches to refugees along with financial aid are not anti-Israeli. People who support land swaps and a return of resources for Palestinians are not racist. All of these ideas are in line with the two-state solution. Advocacy of a binational state, the destruction of Israel and/or a one-state solution is anti-Zionism. |

If you support the state of Israel you should also support a state for the Palestinians. They have a history of territorial rights a great as the Jews or greater. Most of the Jews killed in the Holocaust came from Europe not the middle east, and Germans not the Palestinians were the guilty party. So if the Holocaust was the main motivation for the creation of the state of Israel...and I believe it was, then perhaps a Jewish state should have been created in Europe (most of the victims of the Holocaust came from Poland and Russia). If 6% of Germany and Poland would have been given over to the state of Israel that would have been as much territory as the current State of Israel and the middle east would now likey be a much more peaceful place. If you believe only the current location for the State of Israel is proper....how much of America should be given over to the State of Native America. And no it's not justice that they have their tiny reservation lands. |
