I never thought I would say this but I actually think it has nothing to do with the gender as much as it has to do with the person him/herself. Some girls I can never talk to in a million years. And a certain person that I would never have thought I could talk to because we are so different in a lot of things has proven to be easy to open up to. So I must say it depends. But I think that in some matters getting the perspective of the opposite sex can be useful. Plus, the rivalry and jealousy that is found in some female relations with one another isn't there in a relation with a person of the opposite sex. |

Either male or female, though i do have some very close female friends that I am totally at ease with. |

I think that depends entirely on the person you are talking to - male or female. |

I think it depends on how you were raised and educated. If you have brothers and went to a mixed school, then it wouldn't be a problem for you to communicate with the opposite sex, or to befriend them. If on the other hand, you have no brothers and were educated in a girls only school, then you would tend to be shy to open up or befriend a guy and vice versa. |

it depends...but how Farah have said it has to do with the person.
But on the whole it's easier for me to talk to the same gender (women). I'm too shy when I speak with opposite gender (men)..lol...and sometimes I don't know what to talk with them... |

I would say girls because they understand you and dont make fun of you. Like my mom. Rather talk to her about a personal situation then my dad. |

I don't have any problems talking about any subject with either sex. Some of my closest confidantes in this life have been male friends.
Of course I have had to change my ways a bit since I came to live in Egypt as it is not seen as proper for a female to have very close male friends. But it is something I really miss for I found a male friend would always give me a honest opinion when I asked does this hair style suit me,o r do you like these shoes or the red ones?
Strange thing is my husband doesn't have an issue with me having male friends, but the local people would have a great time inventing gossipy stories if I had a male friend visit me while my husband wasn't home.
But I do draw the line at having a male doctor, for there are some routine tests and such that I just couldnt handle a male doctor carrying out. |

Okay, lets see
For opposite sex : i can talk & open up
For same sex : i can open up WIDELY ... more than opposite sex
Also, i agree with Lovely :
i was raised in a mixed school ... that might made my character that way (i can open up with BOTH)
btw, i have NO brothers, NO sisters, i am ALONE |

when it comes to emotions and feelings, it is so much easier with different sex .. we guys feel we are weak if we start talking about such feelings between each others
other things .. depends in personality .. but same sex in general is easier |

I can see myself in your question
I easily talk to any person from the same or different sex, although that causes many problems and makes me fall in alot of troubles |
