In the Hanafi school, it is permitted for non-Muslims to enter all mosques, including the Haram of Mecca, as they interpreted the Qur’anic verse

009.028 O you who believe! The idolaters only are unclean. So let them not come near the Inviolable Place of Worship after this their year.

to be a specific prohibition against them entering as they did BEFORE Islam in the Days of Jahiliyya, in which they entered with their IDOLS, manifested their polytheistic worship, and engaged in reprehensible actions such as performing tawaf while naked. [Sarakhsi, Sharh al-Siyar al-Kabir, 1.134-135; Ibn al-Humam/Marghinani, Fath al-Qadir `ala al-Hidaya, 10.63] As for the idolaters being unclean (najas), that refers to SPIRITUAL UNCLEANNESS due to their beliefs rather than physical uncleanness. [Jassas, Ahkam al-Qur’an; Kasani, Bada’i` al-Sana’i`]

Under no circumstances may a non-muslim visit those cities. They've got road-blocks enforcing this law.

In fact they've even built special highways around them specifically for non-muslims so that they never even see the cities from a distance. Google maps is probably the closest you'll ever get.

Absolutely. Those places are so full of culture, it is worth going and seeing how different they are and enjoy the buildings and scenery. You will not regret it.

Mom

Yes, but you will have to take your shoes off, so wear socks.

If you are a girl, you are required to wear pants, or long skirts, and t shirt, not tops.

It is very difficult for anyone to get a tourist visa into Saudi Arabia, you must have a sponsor to get the visa. This can either be a friend or family member who lives there. It is possible for a non-Muslim to visit the holy cities of Mecca and Madinah but they are only allowed intot eh outer parts of the city, It is forbidden for non Mulsims to enter the holy places as these are for Muslims only. As for the oes who say that you can go anywhere you please, Saudi Arabia is not our country and they have the right to make any laws they want to in tieir own country. If you dont like their laws dont go. If you do go take the opportunity to talk to some of the Imams in the mosques and find out more about Islam. They are very friendly and are happy to talk to you.

Actually, it is very, very rare for anyone to be given a tourist visa to Saudi Arabia.

You can visit anywhere you damn well please! This is a free world, and if it ain't in some areas then if it's free in your mind go wherever you want to go. Screw everybody else. I would go if I wanted to regardless if it were free or not.

this is the answer from a Saudi guy .

for non-muslim .. you can't visit mecca or madina coz it's secred places for muslims .. as you can say . muslims are must of the time working and living with non-muslims in the whole world, so mecca for them is the place which contain 100% of muslims, where they can be in a place that they never face any reises diffrence or bad looks from non-muslims . it was like that since prophet mohamed period and untill now we have doing the same .." Keeping mecca a 100% muslim place. and for people how don't use to respect the secred places, i'll not tier myself explaining for you what we call it " 101: respecting".
