Lily of the Valley

Is it really better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all?

Hey there sweet Lily,

It really depends on the "type of love", you see, love is a two way street, you should give and take and both partners should work together to keep their love flourishing and alive.

But if one of them is not willing to do all the necessary "work" then yes definitely it is better to have loved and lost earlier on in the relationship instead of going on years and feeling a much deeper loss at all the years that has gone by.

If life is what happened to 2 loving partners, here i mean that life and its circumstances and difficulties drove them apart then sadly i wish they hadn't loved at all, cos it will be very painful for them to loose each other.

But still you know love in itself is such a divine feeling, that experiencing it and having it in yr life is actually a blessing even if it lasts for a short while, yr still a lucky person to have loved at all. Some people go thru life without meeting anybody to love or love them back..... so YES it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

Cedar Lover
As far as I think yea...
At least you tasted what does Love mean better than those who didnt taste it and wishing it...
It's really hard to lose your Beloved but...C'est la vie!

so cold
Yes. If you have loved more than once, you have never loved at all.

Some people live their entire life and never love at all. I would rather love truly and die the next day. But I've been loving for hmmm 6 months hehe.

who cares? love is over rated!

Lyn
People who are in relationships usually tell that to someone who just had their heart stomped on. What a crock. How does that make you feel better? I once told someone that it would have been better never having known her than to listen to this crap.

I don't think so. I would rather not have the pain of losing love than the ability to say that I once had true love.
Luckily for me, I am married to the love of my life and have not had the pain of losing him.

Don't cha?
NO!!
I would much rather be in the position of one that has never had to lose someone they loved than to be in my shoes.

NO. THE CORRECT ANSWER IS THAT IT IS BETTER TO LOVE AND STRANGLE SAID LOVE WITH YOUR OWN LOVE.
