Is it safe to travel to israel right now for this christmas holiday? i am a US citizen?

Yes its safe. I just came back from a 2 weeks vacation and it was great. I wish I could be there in December. Enjoy yourself!

I went there and had a wounderful time! Its not as bad as the media depicts it. People there are very friendly and down to earth, it is a very vibrant nation that is full of life and lots of culture! Just exercise common sense like in any parts of the world (especially major cities) and stay in places that are watched by the IDF. Also one last thing never leave personal belongings alone in any parts of the cities, not only will they be confescated but will also be DESTROYED without hesitation by the police as a general security precaution.

is it not apparent to other people how disgusting it is that one would say it is not safe to go somewhere because a certain group of peoples will eat you. The last time I checked people who ate people were called cannibals, if everyone else here can sit at home with an eased mind knowing that people like IbnAdolf are saying these things, and promoting neo-nazi thoughts [see bottom of this post] then this world is a lot less safer than i thought it was, and it was pretty unsafe to begin with.

Will the world always stay the same, generation after generation will people remain indifferent to hate?

Are thoughts such as IbnAdolfs not the same thoughts that fueled genocides?

I know a lady that went there two weeks ago and she had a great time, she said everyone was really friendly and helpful and no one said a bad thing about America

there are many tourists here. and people here love Americans...
just come and have fun and don't listen to stupid ones like adolf!

It's safer to travel in Israel than it is in most of the larger U.S. cities. If the government put out travel advisories for US cities, you'd give up travelling! The "wall" is responsible for much of that security. It is a wall to keep terrorists *out* rather than a wall to confine its occupants.

But I have a strong suspicion that you're an Muslim. You may enjoy it, but if you're looking for political stuff, go to Libya, Oman, or one of the other Arab countries that you've been asking about on Yahoo Answers (I did my homework....)

Christians make a pilgrimage to Bethlehem at Christmas time. Israel is welcoming of Christians and many Jewish organizations donate funds to help the Christians have a better holiday.

i don't think it's safe....also why would anyone want to go to israel for holiday i mean what would anyone do there....i have a suggesstion and its your choice in the end....why don't you come here to egypt...see the fantastic pyramids and the outstanding sphinx...not only that you can take a nile cruise trip to luxor and aswan which has lots of temples, mummies and great stuff by the way 1/3 of the worlds' tourism places are in luxor only not including the pyramids or the tourism places in aswan....egypt is really awsome you have to come here one day...oh and we don't treat americans badly if you want to know we treat all tourista alike whether they were jews, americans or what ever we welcome them and make them feel home belive egyptian natives are so friendly and kind

If you are Christian all the Christian holy places are controlled and manged by the Palestinian Christians Israel has nothing to do with Christian holy places. You going to see many Israeli soldiers and many check points.
