Like they say.. all men from anywhere on this earth can either be good, kind, generous or they can be jerks..
But maybe this stems from Islam where Allah/God guides and instructs husbands to be kind to their wives.. This is one part of the faith..
To the poster who claims most Saudi's beat their wives.. Obvioulsy hasnt been here, nor married a Saudi man..
Im not niave to think it doesnt happen.. Sure there are jerks here like anywhere else.. Look At the prisons in USA , just filled with spousal abusive men... Its in all places, all cultures..
But Suadi men are no different from any man anywhere on earth..
Thank God my dear husband has never laid a hand on me.. I only hope and pray every women can find her a good spouse.. whether he be a Saudi or any other man!.. ^_^

well, i think there r gud & bad ppl all over the world. we cant judge such attributes of the whole community with some examples.in India also there r some men who torture there wives n kids and many r so kind & loving that they believe in one life, one loving wife concept.

Race or nationality does not determine whether a man is kind or generous. Everyone is different. In other words, some Saudi men are kind and generous, and some are not.

it depends who you ask. i have heard from pakistanis that saudis are very racist. ive enjoyed the company of saudis.

most kind - depends, some might be...I think my husband is really good, but I wouldn't say he's the most kind man on the planet. He has the attitude that he will treat others how they treat him, so he can be a jerk sometimes if someone treats him that way....I think that's the way a lot of men are though...

Oh yes I did heard about that from former US foreigner minister Mr. Henry kissinger, I am not sure of the Spelling of his name But he tried once to make former King Faisal of Saudi Arabia to open for the Oil so the American got their Oil. that was under a certain war between Arabs and Israel. He told King faisal that his plan was about to run dry for oil so he can gets back home. King Faisal answered him in a very respectable way telling him exact words I am a Muslim man and my wish is to do a prayer at the Aksa mosque can you grant me that ? That showed me how gentle and wise man he was. Well that tells me a lot about the Saudis

EDIT: I wrote a lot about the reasons why I believed her books but I deleted the whole thing. I know you are deeply in love with a Saudi man so it's quite a waste of time to argue.
