since 1967
Palestinians had new identity cards since that day what is happening now was planned by that date,
for the pple in east jerusalem they have blue identity cards ,Palestinians of west bank orange and palestinians of Gaza had green
that was 41 years ago what is happening then and later pple who had orange identity cards cant live in jerusalem and cant even get in Jerusalem once they pass check points
even more once a holder of blue ID gets married to holder of orange ID comes the great problem the wife or husband needs then a special permit to pass by check points ,then later comes the identity of the kids ,then what color they might have, then the permit needs renewal, then hospital, then school
comes to driving license
that was before ,but after 1993 the PA can issue a palestinian driving license
comes the question about the plates
since 1967 the east jerusalem they had the blue ID as Israeli and yellow car plate as Israeli while the cars belong west bank used to have green colours and next to it the first letters of the city ,that time east jerusalem cars used to start with numbers but all were mixed up later on
by the 1993 all that was moved to be managed by PA
the important thing here
I cant carry my brother or sister in my car if I got Jerusalem ID and he/she is west bank
cars from w.bank are not allowed to enter Jerusalem area
Yellow plate cars are allowed to drive in all areas
Gaza pple cars food medicine is not allowed in or out |

Essentially. Israeli citizens are issued license plates in different colors than non-Israelis,which would include about 85% of all Palestinians. It is justified as a "security" measure but it is obviously a racist maneuver. Palestinians moving about by automobile can be instantly identified as such and are subject to incessant harassment. They cannot drive on highways reversed for Israeli citizens - almost all of them Jews. |

Yes, that is true. I saw a blog once where the guy checked it all out and got photographic proof. It is in-line with apartheid rule. |

Palestinians have white license plates while Israeli people have yellow ones and cars with the Palestinian license plate are not allowed in Israel...even though it is their own country... =[ |

israeli citizens all have the same license plate (Arab citizens comprise 20% of the population of Israel.) which is yellow and says IL in blue and white, people who are not israeli citizens have yellow license plates without the IL, and gaza and other territories that are under PA control have green ones, and to be clear there are no highways reserved only for israelis!!! |

It depends on what you mean by "Palestinians".
If you mean by "Arabs who live in Israel", then no, they have license plates exactly like every other Israel citizen.
If you mean by "Citizens of the Palestinians authority", then yes, since the PA is a separate identity, and issue their own driver's licenses. |

By "Palestinians" you are not referring to Israeli Arabs who use Israeli license plates, and as in the U.S. each state has its own license plates. And if they would use the same license plates, the Palestinians would claim that Israel is trying to annex their Palestine. And apartheid refers to the fact that Israel exists as a separate state. |

no, that's not true. the west bank has different license plates, but people always say it's not part of israel.
in israel everyone has the same license. including women, who can drive in israel but not in saudi arabia or egypt. |

Um yeah....... what's your point? Canadians have different license plates than Americans too. West Bank is under "Palestinian" Authority so they issue there own plates and have there own registry of motor vehicles.
Weird question |

In Israel, everyone has the same license plates. Some look different, because they were issued a while ago. The license plates don't look as good as American ones though. |
