Is religion the main problems between Israeli and Palestinians?

What do u think, do u think if arabs and hebrews shared the same religion/belief this would ever happen?

I think NOT!, its the religion which plays!
what do u think?

It's mentality, not religion--Arabs and Jews have (wouldn't you know) different mentalities, as for example regarding FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION...they could never act as we do, nor could we act as they do! Islam means to SUBMIT TO ALLAH, while Israel means to CONTEND WITH G-D.

Religion has nothing at all to do with the problems.

The Israelis from Europe moved in, founded a country, and kicked the Palestinians out of their homes; they've engaged in crimes against humanity ever since.

Shlomo B
Most Israelis are not religious, and most Palestinians are not religious, this conflict is being prolonged by religious extremists on both sides but it is at its heart a national conflict, between two nations.

Religion has no part in this.

It is about greed.

If you believe that zionists are religious, you would have to ask yourself what the name of the god is that they pray to.

The cause is imperialism. Palestinians are fighting to expel invaders from their land.

Haifa...Religion plays a good part in Palestine and Israel conflict, however, mainly the contention of land rights makes up the most barriers between the two Semitic people. When the land of Palestine was broken up in world war 1 and quartered by the British between the Palestine people and Israel inhabitants, there were disputes and when the formation of the new country,Israel was formed, the Arabs attacked the Israels and war has continued until today. Although talks are going on today about peace and readjustment of borders there are elements of terrorism feelings that continue to derail the peace efforts. This is what is happening now.

The Zionists used religion and it did fire back at them. The colonial zionists were mostly Communists and did not believe in religion but they used religion to justify their colonial policies. Today, there is a secret war between secular zionists and the religious part of zionist movement.

Well miss EXposeh,....

Of course religion is one reason from the Moslem side, but for the Jews it is more about the LAND.

Hello Haifa,
We can all look from an outsiders perspective, and make a guess, do they fight over land? do they fight over religion? There will always be wars regardless. Man is to blame, for creating the weapons.

How many battles would be fought with just bare arms and a loaf of bread as a weapon ? a french stick might have the edge over a sliced loaf.

Just a thought

They want their land.

Bob Joke
They problem is that idiot arabs compare Israel to Nazi Germany and say that IDF is like Adolf Eichmann or Josef Mengele.

Arieh
Religion is only used to motivate the terrorist/soldier into fighting for a cause that is economic only (land), like all wars throughout the course of history.

Yes and No.

BTW: this is not cut and paste. I have my own ideas. So read don't just discard.

Yes in the sense that the settlers see it in a religious perspective and yes in the sense that Hezbollah see the situation from a religious perspective.

People need to understand that the situation is not that simple: European Jews come in, kick out and Live on their land. In fact, many cases show that arabs were more to blame then Jews. In addition, European jews are minority in Israel and have been for a very long time.

The primary reason was the fact that in the beginning European Jews settled in areas where arabs did not live or bought land where arabs did live and they were dispossessed of their land, not physically but due to capitalistic reasons.

Therefore, Jews were gaining economic and political power. Not only were Jews taking control of lands where arabs did live, but they were taking control of lands where arabs did live, legally. After a while arabs realized that a jewish state was going to be created. Mind you, this is long before the holocaust (not that long). As tensions rose jews and arabs fought, where arabs initiated because the british instigated the riots of 31. This caused a group called the haGanah to be created, which caused physical and indirect disposession of certain 'suspect' villages and parts of Haifa. In addition to the arabs who fled, a refugee problem was attained.

On another hand, there is evidence that points to the idea that most of these refugees in fact resettled into Lebanon and Syria and got jobs. During this time palestinian nationalism was not so great. Another refugee problem was created after 1967, of which 200,000 (less than that) were compensated and allowed to return to Israel as Israeli citizens. At the same time due to border reasons, populations of Gaza and west bank were steady but consisted of a mix of peoples, both palestinian arabs and jordanians (whom are eastern palestinian arabs). Jews were western palestinians.

in a sense. it's muslim intolerance for any kind of difference. muslims have driven out non-muslims from 22 countries, treating them (and their own women) as second class citizens, and abandoning civil law for sharia tyranny.
they simply don't want to have any jews living anywhere near them.

no the problem is both sides are ******* and wont just fight it out instead they use "Suicide Bombers" like that is some sort of manly way to die they are just a bunch of bitches

jd
Only to the extent that Islamic terrorists live there.
If it were really over religion then every religious organization would be involved.
The problem here is hatred and greed. Not God.

Religion has nothing at all to do with the problems.

The Arabs from Lebanon Syria Jordan, Egypt and Iraq started a war with Israelis, the same day they received their Independence, trying to kick them out, it didn't work, and the Palestinians are engaged in crimes against Israelis ever since.
