Yes Tel Aviv is very safe.
In fact, my cousin stayed there during the Lebanon war and i remember him saying '' if i didn't watch the news i wouldn't of even known it was going on ''.
Enjoy yourself.ps: shysta jewbaccu is not an israeli and is not a jew either, he is a christian trying to convert people to christianity and to hate Israel, just read the answers he gives.

Yes, it is safe. The rockets being launched from Gaza into Israel don't have the range to hit Tel Aviv. The people who are telling you it is dangerous are anti Israeli people who don't want you to support Israel. I am from Chicago, which has a slightly higher population than Israel. Far more people are hurt/killed here in Chicago than in all of Israel. I was in Israel back in the beginning of March when there was a plenty of rockets coming into Israel and fairly large airstrikes back on Gaza, I felt completely safe. I'm sure I will get a few thumbs down for my answer, these are all from people who don't want you to support Israel. If you are an American register with the US Embassy through there website, they will keep you informed by way of email of any possible trouble areas. Go, have a good time, you have nothing to worry about. One word of advice, anyone who calls you there "friend" is out to try to get money from you, they will not hurt you, but get away from them as they are persistent in trying to empty your wallet.

I am not Israeli, I am from Tonga/Samoa... my families have been stayed at Tel Aviv number of times, and No, Tel Aviv is not dangerous!

Tel Aviv is a very very nice and safe city... way much better safe than USA cities, UK cities, and etc.

Dont worry... allright?

Have a goodone...

Long Live Israel & Tonga & Samoa!

Tel Aviv is extremely safe and fun! I have not been to Jaffa, but it is supposed to be safe, as well. Those answering negatively above are the "types" you have to be wary of! Fortunately, Tel-aviv has few of THEM!

confused sometimes
I googled it:

Being a large city, it probably has issues such as drugs and crime, but is probably no more dangerous (or less so) than, say, New York City.

If you're worried about a missile attack, don't worry; missiles from the Gaza Strip has caused sixteen deaths since 2001. You have virtually no chance of being number seventeen.

For its size, it is pretty safe.

Only if you have children is it dangerous. Hamas the child killing group aims its missiles at children so beware of this. Otherwise with Israel security you could not be safer.

For the exact reasons I had to cancel my daughter's summer trip to Israel.
There is absolutely no way anyone that can predict when or where a Palestinian guerrilla will retaliate within Israel.
I would postpone my trip to Israel until both sides sit around a table and start talking peace.
Not only then I'd feel more safe but also I'd use this trip to encourage and welcome peace.
South Italy or a Greek islands cruise would sound more reasonable if I were you my dear.
In any case I wish you the best of times.

Every major city has dangerous areas, (drugs, prostitiution, thefts) Just stay away from those areas. Cheers!

Beautiful Sunset
I wouldn't trust any users answering in a very "positive" way here my friend.
The jews two days ago have killed many Palestinian civilians so there's something "big" is expected in the following days.
I would postpone my visit If I were you Polly.
At least until this thing blows over.
I had to let you know even if this means that I'll get a hateful "reporting" of my honest answer to you.
I'll pray for you and your safety.
bye bye

Shyster Jew MF (ex Jew)
I've had enough of "Tel Aviv" lady.
Yes I am Jewish and I don't like Tel Aviv, is that a problem?
I was pick-pocketed three times the cab drivers charged me double fare far too many times and I've almost been hit by ARMY vehicles more than a dozen times.
I always live in fear of some Palestinian dude sneaking up behind me and blowing me to million pieces.
I prefer New York myself.
C'mon delete my answer you Israeli "police" I don't care because I had to warn that lovely lady asking a simple question!
I'll post again I don't mind the trouble if that can save an innocent visitor from getting killed on that land of ours.
Shalom!
Israel chai!
