Jordan is safe. They have had a few isolated incidents, in the last few years, but not like the countries surrounding it. Jordan is a very beautiful little country, and there is A LOT to see. You will most defantily want to visit Petra, Jerash, Aqaba, the Dead Sea, Madaba, and the hot springs in Maan. There is also the castle in Ajloon, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Make sure to see the Jordan River too. Amman, is full of aminiteis, and has lots of things to do. Other smaller cities to see are Zarqa (good shopping),Irbid (which has the most small little villages),and even Mafraq (nice bedioun village). I hope you enjoy it.

Safe enough. Good police and security forces. Always check the FCO Advice Line prior to travelling anywhere abroad. Check this link... Hope this helps... Jordan is a wonderful place and so are its people.

Yes it is, I travel in the middle east a lot and mostly though Jordan, and it is a very nice country too. There is trouble in every country you go to now, so as long as your careful where ever you travel things are normally OK

According to my Jordanian friends,it is very safe as long as you know the travel do's and don'ts in Jordan.

Terrorism these days do not know Arab countries from Western countries, anything can happen anywhere, but if you compare Jordan to the other Arab countries, it is safe and nice, a few incidents happened but people love tourists and there are lots of places to see.

It is safe but then again who am us to assure you that it is safe to travel to Jordan. If you want opinion on security issues for foreign travellers to Jordan than it is understandable but to judge on the safety of the western travellers to Jordan, I don't think so.

If you desperately needed to go then best wishes. Anyway, Jordan is the one out of 2 countries among the 22 arab nations to have a diplomatic ties with the Jewish state mostly known as Bush's best friend. So I think you're going to enjoy it there while you're still at it.

Yes Jordan is very safe for Westerners, I was there in the passed month and the security has gotten very tight there after the hotel bombings. I was randomly stopped 3 times on the way home from a bar at 3am, they simply check your ID and you're on your way, minor inconvenience for the security offered.

No. Unless you look like an Arab and can speak Arabic. One possible exception is the Dead Sea area but do not expect to be 100% safe

NO WHERE in the Middle East is traveling safe for Westerners(Infidels as we are known)
