There is nothing Ironic about being a sabra. Any Jew who didn't imigrate and was born before Israel was established was once a Palestinian. What is Ironic, is that now a bunch of Arabs from Jordan and other nearby countries are calling themselves Palestinians. The real Philistines were giants and died long before Islam began. I feel sorry for those Arabs who were living in British Palestine before Israel and now are living in the Palestinian authority whose incompetance has led to such a low quality of life. At least those who ended up in Israel are doing OK. You'd think the Palestinian Authority would learn something from that.

Proud Grandma
I met Ehud Olmert when he came to California about 4 years ago, I can't remember. He is still a young kid.

If he had been born2007 years ago he could have been born in Jerusalem perhaps in a stable, in a manger, you are only on about the difference between Israel and Palestine, history is such that on time you where all Arabs, or of that Continent, I can never understand the hatred between the two.I know it is 2thousand years or more but , this is modern age , there should be peace, but with the mad mullahs the Fanatics of all religion, I think we should all cast aside religion as it is the main cause of wars and friction in the world.

J S
So he's a Palestinian British Jew whose name sounds like an anagram. That's not ironic but it may be paradoxical.

Michael J
I assume the irony is that it was called Palestine? Not too ironic really, that's what the area was called since the Romans changed the name from Judea.
