as to do people in israel believe in santa... since most israelis are jews over 80% and most of the rest are muslim (~17%), all christian things are basically ignored. christian holidays are felt only in christian communnities and a bit around the old city of jerusalem and in nazareth where there are celebrations and some pilgrims.
other than that, santa claus for israelis, is like the hindu god ganesh for christians.

No, we do not believe in Santa Clause. There are three reasons for this surprising fact:

1. we are not idiots
2. we are not under the age of 3
3. WE DO NOT CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS BECAUSE WE ARE JEWISH.

Jews don't believe in Santa Clause. We do have Christians in Israel - maybe their children believe in Santa Clause. But I think for the Christians in Israel its more about Jesus Christ than about Santa Clause!!!
By the way - is it true that these days Santa Clauses have to say HA HA HA instead of HO HO HO?

I use to beleve santa was real but I dont anymore.
