I do not see a comparison at all. I have been and lived in Germany seen concentration camps and what they did and there is no real comparison yet.

This is a war sure started by rocket launches no doubt but I do hope peace is found and the dying ends.

The plight of the Palestinian people is a Holocaust. Those inflicting it are the children and grandchildren of those who were nearly exterminated by the nazis. The Palestinians didn't collaborate, they were innocent, they were simply thrown out of their land over 60 years ago. Shame on coward Israel. At the very least it is mass-murder,and as far as the Gazan capacity to defend itself against a renegade government that has placed them under seige - a naval and air blockade - their own home-made rockets are no match for the world's sixth-largest military. Using Holocaust as a term for a small war, is an effort to spread hate with exaggeration. It's a creepy form of Holocaust denial.

It's actually a form of Holocausting against the Jews - it's using classic anti-semitic statements at Israel because it has a majority Jewish population. Those statements are this turn-speak where Jews are claimed to be doing what's been done to them.... Also, stereotypes are that Jews are "aggressive, evil-doers."

Any rational person can see it was a small war. Also using a minor definition of the word, when the full reality definition of the Holocaust is intended & the person knows it...is also hate speech, a manipulative kind.

There are no more bulldozing of housing of terrorists as deterrance. It was determined not to work, so the program was short lived - and all the whining is using old complaints. However, very few were bulldozed for that. What is bulldozed are illegally built houses in security zones, which usually aren't houses anyway but cover for weapons factories ...and tunnels into Israel...hence the "security zones." I'm getting this in part by reading the B'tselem site carefully, a far leftwing organization.

This is a highly offensive question (and I am not referring merely to the poor grammar, syntax, sentence structure and spelling).

1. The Israeli action in Gaza was PURELY DEFENSIVE. It was a reaction to aggression no less than the U.S. reacting to Pearl Harbor. (It was actually twelve thousand times more justified than Pearl Harbor; Pearl Harbor was one event. Hamas has been responsible for in excess of twelve thousand acts of war against Israel over the past eight and one-half years.)

2. It is demeaning to the thirteen million murdered by the Arabs working with the Poles and the Nazis and the Slavs in World War Two, approximately 5.7 to 6.25 million of them Jews (acording to most responsible historians).

3. The term "Holocaust" has been applied to everything from sports events to skirmishes in Africa to Darfur. Events may be tragedies. Those events are no more a Holocaust than a women being whistled at is a rape. (The only possible exception to this is The Great Calamity a/k/a The Armenian Massacre.)

4. The numbers. The actual number of Arabs killed in the defensive military action(s) in Gaza over the past four months probably totals between 49 and 57. Of these, at least 44 were terrorist leaders.

5. The non-military "victims." It has been proved beyond any doubt that the children casualties were actually murdered by Hamas in a cynical attempt to trick the international media into believing that the Israeli manuevers designed to avoid civilian deaths actually caused non-combatants injuries. The real Holocaust was desgned to murder specific groups of people.

This question should be reported by someone.

No it is not a holocaust to an extreme of the Jewish Holocaust.

When we think of Holocaust, we think of extermination of a race, or an attempt. In this case it is not the same. Because it would be impossible to do it in this day of time. Too many counties would have something to say about it.

However this situation of the Palestinians is not as honorable as the Holocaust, but it can sometime make Palestinians feel as though they are in one.

They are being occupied, and pushed out. Cut off from the land that they were born. Denied their home and freedom.

They are victim of war crime and government rule.
