It is just Jerusalem. It is the holy place for many religions. I think it should be an internationally governed city of G.D.

ever since the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and occupied it, yes it was occupied Jerusalem, But Jews always lived in jerusalem from the TIME of THE Bible when Abraham was promised this land for an inheritence for future generations. His Son Isaac and his Grandson Jacob all lived in this land until Jacob went down into Egypt. When Jacobs grandchildren escaped from slavery with the Great Mighty Hand of GOD,and with the help of Moses his Servant, they were led back to the Promised Land, which included Jerusalem of which King David made his capital.

Jerusalem is and always was the eternal capital of the JEWS.

Besides the fact that it has always been Jerusalem, the Holy city of God and the Hebrew capital--this is the TRAVEL to Israel section!

All the anti-Israel political postings have become to many and are beyond annoying.
You cant even spell the word occupy and the excuse your english isnt good defys reason since your able to work a computer--then you can find your way to Dictionary.com and look up the words and how to spell them!

Jerusalem has always been in Jewish prayers. Jews are always praying facing Jerusalem. It is mentioned in the Torah hundreds of times, and isn't mentioned in the Koran even once.

It is THE HOLIEST place for the Jews, and a part of political issue for the Arabs. There are no two ways about it.

These are facts, and if you choose to ignore them, then obviously you don't care for the truth.

If you mean occupied by the Israelis-I think not, they have the right to that land! But also, imagine saying the WHOLE title of NATO-it woul;d be too long, just like 'occupied Jerusalem'!

Before 1967 the occupiers of East Jerusalem were the Jordanians... and before the British and the Turks...
So you should ask now who is the real owner of East Jerusalem???

The city is named for the Jewish words for "foundation of peace" Yerushalayim.
It was a city for Jews and other people of other faiths long before warring Sunni and Shiite Muslims laid seige to the city before the first Crusade in the year 1096 (the idea for a Crusade first coming up as a way to drive the Muslims out of Jerusalem and make way for Christians to preserve sites they considered sacred).
There were eight Crusades in total between 1096 and 1291. Jerusalem was occupied by many different religious groups during this time period and has changed hands many times after.

Islam and Christianity are new religions, each being at least 4,000 years younger/newer than Judaism.
The Jews were Jews long before the Great Pyramids were built in Egypt, and they have watched countless civilizations and religions rise and fall, from the Egyptian dynasties to the Roman Empire to nazi Germany.

If you look to the period before 02/11/1917 the black day of "Balfour Declaration proclaims support for a Jewish state in Palestine" you will understand that the west have never believed that the Jewish are having any right in Palestine, the west knows this fact more than me and you, they know it is Palestine and nothing is called Israel.

Now, why they are supporting Israel and they are not calling it occupied Palestine??

The story started in 1907, when the west researches, indicates that the Middle East is rich of the new power source, "Oil".

So, they said, why don't we kill two birds with one stone?

First: we will put our hand in the Middle East by occupying part of it and instead of direct occupation we will indirectly occupy it by putting the Jewish there.
Second: we will get rid of the Jewish, and make Europe for the Christians only.

So, the west will never seriously try to solve the problem, the westerners will keep saying "this part is occupied, that part is not, this part for Palestinians, this part for the Israelis" because they want to keep the clash.

Well Muslims like myself don't agree with Jews occupying our land and holy city. We can't even go to our third sacred mosque because the Jews won't let us. As to westerners you should know they are too busy in Iraq to care about Jerusalem.

You're right. They should just call it Hicktown.
