As for the thumbs up / down think, I believe that people will give you a thumbs up if you tell them what they want to hear regardless of how good or bad your answer. So don't put too much thought into it.

Another one sucked in the game. welcome to please please please like me land.

In no time you'll be rating people in the street with your thumbs up and down ( and when thumbs up mean what it means in Australia, you get in big trouble), you're casually having a conversation with your friends and wondering which one you will give best answer to, they are checking their lipstick in the mirror while you are checking your % of peer approval, you ask them which level they are and they just don't get it and if you LOL them they think you're crazy.

So, for the sake of that little thumb, you dump them all and spend even more time on Y/A where they all understand thumbs and levels and LOL's.

Silky, one sisterly advice: Run...run girl while you still can, it's too late for me...I'm too far gone, I reached level 4, I'm halfway there...you are still young, you can learn to live in the real world again.

you can tell yourself that you are above the point system and only here for fun. But there is gratification in people liking your answers and you do count those thumbs up and down. and not only when you are new.

Because I get on very late at night, I answer after the heat of the question is gone so i don't get many thumbs to my answers. I'm thinking of changing my life around just for that.

The best feeling when you'll really need an answer and you find people are writing very interesting things to help you. It's a better feeling than the thumbs up/down.

If you have a question just put it here, people can help you.
I like to help as much as I can to find a solution for many questions.
The points is to answer questions and the best answer gets the 10 points.
Asking a question cost points, but is quickly solved to give correct answers.

Imagine how you'd feel when you get 10 points for best answer.... & climb those levels.....

First few levels, u have limited number of answers, but then at level 4 or 5 it becomes unlimited......

You're just trying to make sure people give you more thumbs up (sneaky !!) because you could be racing to level seven like the rest of these hungry ones.. We experience desperate need in one of two (2) ways; first; Desperate situations are force upon us through no fault of our own, Second; we create our own desperate circumstances through choices that we have made. Doctor Leticia Ann Peplau of U.C.L.A once said that we experience Loneliness when "The quantity or quality of our social relationships are not what we would want them to be" I would encourage you to look at all your relationships you have with other human beings (from platonic to intimate) and see what changes you might want to make.
