Jews Christians and Muslims all agree on the fact that there is one God.
We call him Hashem, Muslims call him Allah and Christians call him The Lord but we're all talking about the same God.
The only difference is in the way Christians perceive God.
Christians believe that God sent his son to earth and this son is also God himself, they are one and the same.
In Judaism, this is not possible because God is One and cannot be separated into parts, he is one unity. More than that, Jews are forbidden from even hinting that God has some sort of form, having a form or image of God even in your mind is forbidden.
Yes, The Bible contains the old testament, however the Torah and the old testament are not 100% identical. |

Both believe in the Abrahamic God.
Supposedly, they are worshiping the same god, the God that Abraham worshiped.
But technically, Christians believe in te Trinity, with Jesus being God/Son of God, |

Jews Worship Only One
"And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:1-3). |

There is only one God. It might be that Muslims worship the same God under a different name.
Christianity is a bit more tricky. They get three for the price of one, including an entity who is sometimes human and sometimes not. This is, according to Maimonides, idolatry. |

The God of Judaism is the same God of Christianity.
We might interpret him differently, but he is still the same Abrahamic God.
Christians believe God has a son, that is how we see it, but we still believe that the Son and the Father are one and the same meaning they are ONE God, and not more than 1 God.
Jews worship the Father, although they do not refer to him as that, they refer to him as Elohim or Hashim. We refer to him in many different names, but he is still the same God, Druze, Baha'is, Christians, Jews, and Muslims worship the same Abrahamic God.
Christians obtained the Torah because it is God's Word as well. The first 5 books of the Bible are from the Torah. We follow the 10 commandments and Jesus said he is not here to abolish the Law.
Funny how many people are ignorant about Christianity here. |

The Jewish concept of god differs greatly from the Christian's concept of god. The Jewish idea of God is that God is One and Indivisible. We cannot divide God up into separate parts, where each part of God is UnEqual to each of the other parts, but somehow they are one and the same. The Hebrew Scriptures describes God as an absolute One, but the Christian's New Testament describes the Christian idea of God as divisible into three parts called a trinity. In the Christian's New Testament, Jesus at one point claims to have different knowledge than other parts of the Christian Trinity. For example, Matthew 24:36 or Mark 13:32. In another verse, Jesus does not have the same power as other parts of the Christian Trinity, for example, Luke 23:34. And in Matthew 26:42, Jesus's will is not the same as the will of the Father. Indeed, Jesus often contrasted himself with the Father, for example, in John 14:28, or Luke 18:19. Furthermore, Jesus supposedly said that the punishment for blaspheming against one part of the Trinity is not the same punishment for blaspheming against another part of the Trinity. In the Hebrew Scriptures, however, God is One, as we read in Deuteronomy 6:4, as well as in Isaiah 44:6, where God tells us, "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." When Isaiah tells us that God said, "I am the first," it means that God has no father. When Isaiah tells us that God said, "I am the last," it means that God has no literal son. And when Isaiah tells us that God said, "Besides me there is no God," it means that God does not share being God with any other god, or demi-god, or semi-god, or persons, and there is no trinity. |

Islam is the second largest religion in the world after Christianity. As a monotheistic faith that originated in the Middle East, Islam holds many beliefs and practices in common with Judaism and Christianity.
Judaism, Islam and Christianity are collectively known as "Abrahamic religions" because they trace their history to the covenant God made with Abraham in the Hebrew Bible.
The Prophet Muhammad met both Jews and Christians during his lifetime, and Islam has come into frequent contact with both of its fellow monotheistic faiths throughout most of its history.
Outside of its central significance in Judaism, the Torah is accepted by Christianity as part of the Bible, comprising the first five books of the Old Testament.
A truth is a truth whether believed or not it remains the truth.
I think you should do some research and read both books a little, you might find some answers to your questions.
Good luck...:) |

Yes, same god. Jews believe the son of god still needs to come, and Christians believe that he did come, and was called Jesus. These two religions diverged because of their differing views about Jesus.
If you want to know why some people chose to believe that Jesus was the son of god and some didn't, you might as well ask why some people vote Democrat and some Republican. People always find something to disagree about.
If you are looking for proof, good luck, no one has ever prooven that any god from any religion exist, and I doubt whether you are going to find any in this forum.
Christianity also uses the Torah, which is called the old testament, because up until Jesus came Christianity and Judaism were one and the same religion. After Jesus came, more books were written about Jesus and some of his followers, which were added to the Torah and called the new testament. |

No. Very different.
Their God has nothing to with our God.
They worship walls as their God idols, sticking little papers inside the wall cracks asking for earthly goods.
Have you ever seen a Christian hammering a wall with his head?

I honestly do not know how G-d keeps His finger off the smite button. Your question still begs an answer. We've all heard of the trinity described as One being in three distinct personalities. Don't get side tracked on the word personalities. G-d is not a person so to speak but He does have a personality or a certain way that He acts. spiritually speaking this can get complicated as in body, soul and spirit. Or as in mind, will and emotions. But let's just be simple and take an egg. three parts- shell, egg white, and yolk. Crack it - is it still an egg? yup. Put it in egg fu young. still an egg? Yes. scrambled, fried, poached, over easy, hard boiled, raw. Still an egg. No matter which way you serve it up, it's still an egg. Might taste a little different depending on what you do or do not mix in but your still eating eggs. Jews and Christians have way more in common then either like to admit. You might see me mash up my over easy eggs into my grits and say yuck! How can she eat that? Then I see that you are just drinking eggs from a glass (don't laugh. Ever seen the movie Rocky) and I'm like ewwww that's disgusting. But hey what ever floats yer boat. I don't care if you eat your eggs raw. And don't judge me for mixin em in my grits. That's the way I like em. If it makes ya sick to look at it then why don't you and your raw egg chugging buddies turn the other way, drink le chaim to life, and let me and my grits mixin buddies serve up our eggs with a little flair. We're gettin the same nutritional value. I might be a little chunkier than you but that's cause i failed to mention the butter in the grits. Then there's johnny come lately- the muslims. They missed breakfast and they are mad. Their top chef assures them that they won't go hungry. He will make for them a new cook book. So top chef steals from raw egg cook book. Then top chef copies from egg mixing cook book. Still he is left with only pages in his hand so he invents an egg substitute- "egg cheaters". So he serves it up and his hungry followers devour it. It looks like eggs, it smells like eggs, and unless you eat eggs all the time and know for sure what an egg is, you would even swear it even taste like eggs. What is it if it aint eggs? Trust me, you don't wanna know. |

Judaism believes in ONE God.
Every other religion believes in more than one.
We are ALL Gods "children."
You want proof of a God?
Why don't you take a look in the mirror, how else would you explain a human? How would you explain earth? All the proof I need is the air I breath. Christians don't obtain Torah.
Jews obtain Torah. Christians obtain Bible. |

Dear asker;
All people in all of the world have the only God (Allah) and he is the creator of this world, the earth ,the sun, moon, sky ,...etc. So (Allah) is the same in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam
Actually (Allah) has no son or daughter ,and when a christian says that "Jesus is the son of God" they didnt mean that god born him because we as jesus is (Allah) worshiper
Regarding holly books Taorah, Bibles, and also QURAAN ,It is nesessary for each prophet to get his massage written in verse and thus he deliver his massage to his followers and to the humanity in general |

No.
G-d of Judaism does not change, does not have one special son, does not have partners, gave the Torah to the Jews for them to observe and did not give the Torah to anyone else.
Also, we believe that actions are more important than faith, Christians believe the opposite,
We don't believe in original sin, we are all just fine as we are.
We believe that when the messiah comes he will fulfill the messianic prophecies in the Torah, christians believe he came and will try again to see if he has better luck next time.
We believe that every person is able to attain forgiveness by his/her own relationship with G-d. Christians have to go through jesus.
We believe that only G-d can forgive sins. Christians believe that jesus can.
We believe that when someone does something wrong he needs to pay for his choices, christians turn the other cheek. |

Our Jewish friends were doing fine until they decided to eliminate our Jesus Christ.
Judaism is a dead-end religion. Hence the appearance of the Talmud that contains the "laws" . The latest additions to the Talmud were made during 1939AD in the Jerusalem Talmud.
This is the real Holy Script. Not the Torah.
In my opinion both the Talmud and the Torah are some very primitive scripts with an extremely difficult numbering system (Assyrian)
In reality the God of the Hebrews has nothing to do with our Christian belief.
For instance, the Jewish God speaks of money as a "divine" gift.

depends on who you ask.
Jews say one god with many names,
christians say only one god with one name and that all others are false.
From the jewish point of view the christian god is the same as the jewish one, christians seem to have mixed opinions on that one in my experience.
Also - in Judaism , the idea of god taking form is completly abhorrant. As is the idea of worshiping any man, statue, picture or image as god.
Its the hight of blasphemy and the idea of a formless god is reinforced over and over in judaism.
Occaisionaly god makes signs, like burning bushs or pillars of smoke but they are never actually god.
Christianity - though it doesnt like to admit it - has a huge amount of pagan imagry and ideas within it.
The idea of god having a son or taking form has been around in middle eastern and north african ''pagan'' religions for longer than judaism. And if you look closely at the story of jesus youll see many similarities between them.
the idea of god taking form as his son is most likely a mixture of that and a misunderstanding of the prophecies, either by people that were semi illeterate, or who werent speaking hebrew/ aramaic as their first language, or who were reading mistranslated version of the original scripture. Remember, at jesus time people would have been speaking latin, aramaic probably greek and maybe egyptian as well as other middle eastern languages.
Christians like to quote from the torah because they mistakenly believe their religion is Judeo christian. Thats inaccurate.
Christianity bears more in commen with Hinduism then it does with Judaism, but since jesus was born a jew they feel they have a special connection with judaism and like to quote from the torah , even though they will say that jesus made the torah irrelavant and brought a ''new covenant''
As for what is the truth. That has to be up to you. Truth is something individual. Im not going to make a case and say why judaism is more ''right'' than christianity because thats not what judaism is about.
whichever one you BELIEVE to be the truth, is for you '' the truth''.
Judaism teaches that one obtains paradise on the merits of his deeds and actions in this life, not which book or prophet or deity he followed or by which name he called god by...
hope that answers your questions ? |
