Any Captonian will tell you that we have Penguins living on the mainland at Boulders. The only place in the world where Penguins live on a mainland.

You can even swim with them. Its the most wonderful experience.

If you ever get the chance you must, must do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are smaller islands eg in Houtbaai, Bettys Bay, etc which are populated by penguins and aptly named Penguin Island.

We also have an island (bigger sized one) called penguin island near Port Elizabeth.

So yes, there are many penguins in South Africa.

Yes we have penguins. A place called boulders beach in Cape town is the best place to see them, you can literally walk up to one.
