I always wanted to be a Hairdresser. When i left school i tried to get a placement, but because everyone wanted to do it back then, i couldnt get a placement. By the time i'd waited till the next years intake, i was earning good money at something else & couldnt go back to the very poor starting pay of the training.
I've always regretted not being able to do it, because i do have a natural talent which my friends have helped me to develop. People say 'go do it now, its never too late', but it is, hairdressing is a fashion thing, if your not young enough & cool enough, you just cant make the grade & have big client lists.
Funny really, my husband is now a qualified hairdresser, he had been a head waiter when we lived in Egypt, lol. When we moved to England we visited an old friend of mine one day, he owns a top class salon & offered Khal a job, just till he found what he wanted to do, well he landed right into the very job i had wanted & he's great at it & starting to earn good money now.
So i guess he's living my dream, & the only consolation is = i get my hair done for freeeeeeeeee !
