they prepare it for special occasions as camel meat is quite expensive, especially young camel meat.

yes they do, being saudi myself I found it mind bugling when i get this question alot here in canada. Bedouin people in Saudi consider camel meat as the best treat for their guest, they always serve it in their parties and events. also they consider camels as pet lol sound ridiculous but thats the truth. Me myself i never tried it but i will give it shot if i have chance

but there is a few people how eating camels meet and like it

other think camels meet is expensive than other meet

note: camels milk is better for health than other milks

in the end testing of food is different from person to other person

for me i prefer to eat sea food than meet & chiken in all the time

Some Middle Eastern & Africans eat camels. Lately, Australian started to enjoy eating Camels (Camels were first imported to Australia in1840 & now they have more than 300,000 wild camels running in their country).
it is known for being low in fat and taste similar to beef. it is now available at supermarket chains throughout above regions in addition to most butchers shopes.

Yes, Saudis eat camel meat; however, it is quite expensive. It is sometimes featured in the Tamimi markets (for those of you who live in Saudi, at least in Riyadh). It is preferred for a wedding feast where it is prepared on-site; especially valued is the young white camel.

Its kind of rare, but if you search around you will find camel meat for sale.

I would like to try it, but I couldn't find camel meats in major supermarket here in Jeddah.

They do and it ia sold in most major supermarkets and butcheries. Some local take outs have camel meat burgers and shawarma.

Ew. I would hope not! Too much fat, not enough meat! And most of them are used for hard labor so I imagine they'd be pretty tense and stringy too.

unfurtunatly yes. Camels are knowing as the ships of the deserts but some stupid people treat them as the Bar.B.Q of the desert.However, before Islam Arabs did not allow eating camels.
