Nada, go for it and fight for it with all your might, you can do it!

For those that are going on about you not going it alone, is it 1400 years ago when it took months to cross the desert? Nada you can get here to England in 4.15 mins, there are lots and lots of Egyptian males and females here on scholarships.

My friend traveled from Egypt last weekend and she came visited some other Egyptian girls that are staying alone and then I drove her to her university. Where she is staying alone but will make friends with others in the same situation, when we got to the university we were met by an Egyptian guy, who was also alone and in the same situation that helped her to settle in.

Most of the wealthy in Egypt of the higher an middle classes studied outside if they could afford it (even for masters and PhD) or went to AUC. Investigate this fact for yourself, I know many professors that are taken scholarships from the government in Egypt that are here in England. Many of the time it happens that they take a scholarship, work in England in the university for sometime and then go back to Egypt having made some money. Investigate the women in high positions in Egypt find out where did they start and finish their studies!

Please don’t let anyone ever tell you that you can’t do something because of your gender, always investigate it for yourself.

Nada, when it comes to having your own children you will know that you want the best from them and for them and if that means to travel you will let them do it, because that’s healthy.

Some young, some old but I will tell you what they don’t face sexual harassment on the street and at least women to can excel easier in thier professions!
--------------
Nada, if I can help you in any way, any way at all, you just let me know.
----------------
PS, Some people need to start living in facts instead of fear! Its not like you would leave Egypt because you want to become a belly dancer!

Good luck

Both my sisters lived alone in foreign countries. They did not do it for fun. They did it to learn. There is nothing more that I wish for than to be half as religious and decent as my sisters are.
I hope this answers your question.

nada , if guys don't agree or don't like it are you going to do it ? why do you have to take anyone's permission ?

edit : go for it ya nada , Allah haywafa2ek w ye7meky

''would you yourself agree on travelling abroad alone''

I don't ''consider it'', I've done it, you should too. Education (University) is v. imp.

Assallam mu alaikom.

Well. It is nothing wrong studying abroad. The most important thing is to take precaution and don't get influence with unhealthy activities and stay focus with your study.
Be close to Allah swt at all time(Solat). Insha'allah safe.

Wassalam.

I was given a full scholarship, by presenting ,y paper on diseases. I already have my Registered Nursing Certificate, but I wanted to specialize in Public Health. I have no money so I was told for me to pick a subject and why I would like to do research in my field of study.
For me to go overseas, I would have to live with my parents friends in the US or I would be traveling with one of my good friends.

AAHHhhhh this is sooo hard to answer. Islamicaly I know we shouldn't go that far alone...yet...I know I did this before I became Muslim and right after I did too....It was the best thing for me and the worst thing.

Don't want to talk about the worst parts....but the best....I got to know tons of Muslims (I had been studying Islam prior) and it was the greatest thing ever....lead me closer to finally embracing Islam.

I think studying aboard is so great in so many ways. You learn so much not just about the subject that interests you but about yourself and about the world. Seriously, I do see a difference often times between those that have done it and those that have not (in their mentalities).

I knew a girl from KSA who got to study aborad and she had family members move with her so that she could do it. If only we were all that lucky.... Others made sure to live with lots of other girls... Some go to an all girls private school... It's really hard when I think about it. Especially here in the USA we are soooooooo big and it is very normal to leave your family and go far away for college (depending on your major and your location you might not even find a school close by your family to attend). I say think about it more.
Maybe you can marry somebody and travel and study together??? (I know that is difficult too.) Maybe you can go to an all girls school that has more strict rules for the students to abide by....Idk

Best wishes to you (((Nada)))

hey nada that would be so cool! yes for the sake of education, why not? nothing is wrong with it. I know my family would never agree to let their daughter travel abroad alone, and they have some good reasons, but hey, it still sucks not being able to do things ur way and go for ur goals and dreams. I have no problem whatsoever living abroad alone, that would be sooo cool. But i'm sure neither my family or husabnd would approve. If ur family is fine with it, take advantage of it now b4 its too late because once u get married ur husband might not let u go. I wanted to go to USA again to do my masters but my husband refused although my family is there. His reason was because he didn't want us living separately. so now, go for it when u can! and good luck ;) why don't u join me in California! it's way better than kentucky ;)

Wise Heart
If you think about going alone just pass by the Islam rules and check if it allow that or not.
I saw some girls alone to learn abroad and I can tell you most of them were not living or feeling good although they tell all their parents and friends in Egypt, that everything was going fine.

If there are ideal countries who has no prejudice against Arabs and Muslims, I would have said something else.

Lawrence of Arabia
Nada.. Praise The Arabian prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم first...

If you have a daughter.. would you leave her to go to Canada or England alone to study?

Your answer is the answer to your question.. think well before you answer...

Asalam alaikum, I know this is a struggle for you and many sisters....however, no matter what people's "personal opinions and experiences" here are. The Fact of the matter is that it is forbidden Islamically. Simple as that.... Sometimes we like a thing that is bad for us and hate one that is good for us. Dont let the shaiytan fool you into thinking the wrong is right, this is what he does.

Don't go alone.

No Nada, girls should not go and study alone away from home just for scholarship. Besides, in Islam.. Muslim girls are not allowed to travel anywhere without a Mehram (someone lawful to them.. (husband, brother, father, uncle, etc.)
