Men are perverts the world around. I lived in Morocco for 6 months and had very few problems with men. I was almost always accompanied by my husband and I never dressed immodestly, and I am certain that helped me, but the same can be said for anyplace in the world. Be respectful of the culture, customs and religion and you should both be fine.

Yep. Out of the resort keep it covered. You MUST go to Marrakesh and see the market, fantastic and the Souk is great there.

She should be fine out with you. Even on her own, probably. All countries have pervy blokes, the secret is common sense. Have travelled there with a few women and NO-ONE has ever hassled them in my hearing. I have heard tales of tiresome attentions paid to girls travelling on their own but nothing too scary. I've seen worse on the streets of the UK - remember, v. little alcohol in Maroc.

She'll be fine provided she doesn't wear short shorts, short skirts and tight revealing tops outside of the hotel where you are both staying.

Men can be a bit fond of the bottom slap but other than that, she'll be fine.

Moroccans are a friendly people, and sometimes maybe they may say things to a woman that some here may think sexist but it is usually light hearted and you can rest assured she will be perfectly safe in Morocco, but please remember to dress in an appropriate manner for a Muslim country

The main thing is to respect the culture in the place you are going. My opinion is that you and your girlfriend can still wear light summer clothes with a bit of modesty. You shouldn't have a problem. If your girlfriend is really sensitive, the stares might bother her though but that's it really. Morocco is a beautiful Country full of traditional and culture.

Listen; there are guys and guys, just as anywhere else in the world.
In general men are polite with women in Morocco. They wonâ€™t grab the girls or do something against the will of the lady.
Some of them look... and why not? What do you have your eyes for?
Some of them will try to get into conversation and say things like "you are so beautiful, bla - bla -bla"... same stuff as you guys say in Europe and USA.
Moroccan men are civilized and somehow most of them show much more respect than many guys I know here in Spain where I live. Here itâ€™s normal to hear the guys just whistle, make obscene gests and shout "hot chick, do you wanna xxxx..."
I prefer that somebody says that I was beautiful and nice and tries to invite me for having a tea... honestly!
No, you donâ€™t have to be afraid, as if a woman says "NO" itâ€™s NO and they accept it.
You are talking about Morocco not Saudi Arabia or Yemen.
In Morocco men are used to see Moroccan women without veils and dressed just like in Europe, so they do not stare at a woman just because she doesnâ€™t wear a hijab.
I can say from my own experience.
I have travelled a lot in Arabic countries and I must say, that Morocco is the most modern Arabian country I have visited and where most people are open minded, welcoming and respectful towards everybody.
Women in Morocco have exactly the same rights as men and I know many Moroccan women working in high-qualified jobs like hotel director, sales director, etc.
Morocco is a beautiful country. I donÂ´t know where you will stay, but I recommend to take a couple of days and visit Marrakech, Casablanca, go through the Atlas mountains and visit the oasis and go to the typical Berber villages, go and see the Sahara desert as well, stroll trough the markets, go to typical restaurants, enjoy the fishing villages and go to the sea side resorts like Agadir, which are super modern â€¦ you will be astonished by the beauty of this country and the hospitality of Moroccan people in general.
I go to the Sahara desert next weekend for 3 days to relax and calm downâ€¦ itÂ´s such a wonderful experience to sleep in a tent in the desert and look at the starsâ€¦
Enjoy and donÂ´t waste your time with silly thoughts. You and your girl friend will be perfect.

I just came back from morocco you just have to use common sense you would be suprised how much french is spoken so get out your french phrase book
think of moroccans as the french version of arabs and you will understand them better

Are you the jelous type? its more then a perve its more like a full on stare....and it depends how attactive she is i guess and what she is wearing ...keep in mind marocons dont stare and think wow lucky man they stare and think she is a tart thats if she is wearing sexy clothes no offense to you or her but thats what and how they think weird I know but thats morocco tell her to dress modest thats if she wants unwanted attention and keep her with you.....as they really can hound ..and try and keep your cool...hey but have a nice time..and be carefull if you go out of a night avoid dark places just keep to the main streets and dont let her out on her own of night alone at all....

um I've been there and yes the men do perv but its harmless and they've adopted quite a westernized way of life there especially around the city centres....

I think you should be fine, there is some good advice about being out and about with her, but usually in the hotels you don't get pervert, especially if she is with you, its more than there jobs worth...

Just be careful how you react if your a bit of the jealous type, dont kick off, just laugh it off...

Relax and enjoy your holiday otherwise you will be too tense to enjoy yourselves...

They perv on women in Arab countries. It's quite disturbing, but I'm not sure about Morocco. Is it like that? Well if it is, they won't bother your girlfriend or try anything with her if she doesn't go out alone. Make sure you never let her go out alone, or she'll probably be bothered if Morocco is like Egypt and most of the other Arab countries in terms of men getting silly ideas when they see a woman out alone (without a male escort).

Aslong as she's not wearing anything too revealing or tight, she'll be fine. Esp because she's with you...Men tend to back off completely when they see she is accompanied with her boyfriend or hubby. However you may get some offers to trade your girlfriend for camels.lol

I love how almost all of these people aren't even moroccan. Let me give you a straight up answer. If your girl dresses in anything tight, or showing... the guys will think shes a slut.. and the guys who are down for that will show it. I would say forget the pervs (which there are more of in your stupid country), and tell your "girlfriend" to dress to be respected.
Why does she need to show off her likely ugly body if she has a "boyfriend"?

By the way, you're going to get hustled aswell. Like all tourists who come back saying "it was a beautiful country". 100% sure someone made triple the amount something was worth off a stupid tourist. Stick to your country, moroccans may not all have a chance at a university degree.. but they're way out of your league. Go for a stroll in the park, and use your money to suck the fat off your "girlfriend".
