hey beautiful,
i have had my hair all colours from brown to blonde to black to light brown to red to dark brown to orange to black to purple to black......etc....
but i think that the nicest colour i have found that suits lots of people is black ...so i think that you should do it black. |

let it stay brown for a couple of months then you could highlight it with light brown |

Well......you have to do what makes you feel better, and what you like better also.
I had some problem some time ago, but was to cover some white hairs. as I dont like to damage it and become a slave of my hair, I used henna. It gives me a nice golden brown, that cover my "whities", letting my natural hair keep the black.....so it seems as highlighted.
I liked the result. |

If you think you are confused please spare a thought for the rest of us ! Why not try multi colour streaks......make a fashion statement . |

Edit: I agree with kate, a few beige blonde subtle highlights would look stunning, like Rachel from friends |

I would die it. Its only hair. its more exciting to try new hair styles and colors. Change is good! =] |

Darlin..if you like it dark then go ahead and color it. I say why not?? Maybe you should get it done professionally..this way it may stay the real color and not fade. |

No just let it grow out...i had dyed it black too and never worried about dying it again & i din't damage my hair anymore it was just natural! If it's not really niticeable and it blends..just let it be:o) |

I say dye it back black. You can never go wrong with black!! |

that depends on if you want to deal with the mantainance of keeping it brown...darker colors do seem to take more effort, expecially if it is all over color...how about some lowlights? and then when it starts to grow out some, it looks more natural :) |

What about trying some lowlights to balance the overall color? |

No, because you will get black roots; they're ugly.
You could try highlights. If you get black roots then, they will be barely noticable. |
