''We'' who, we the people? Since when did the American government start representing their people, when you guys regain control of your country then maybe ''we'' (the majority) can start deciding things, but for now the neocons get to pull all the cards. |

One day when America runs out of money then they will withdraw recognition of Israel...... |

Yes they should but never will. There are too many Jewish people in high places there. The US should also stop supplying arms to Israel. The UN demanded that Israel withdrew from all its illegal settlements which the Israelis ignored. They think that they are a law of their own. They should be kicked out of the UN until they learn to comply with its rules..l |

No withdrawal of recognition but I want to know where are all of these divine blessings promised by conservative fundamental Christians and religious Jews to the United States for its support of Israel. Those people wave their Bibles around and quote God as saying he blesses those who bless Israel. We have given Israel billions of dollars in aid and basically kept them from collapsing. In 1967 and 1973 we kept the Russians from going after Israel, even risking nuclear war to do it.Israel couldn't exist without the United States and here we are in a military quagmire and an economic meltdown.I see no reason to continue on this course. Thanks Israel for all you've done to us. |

Of course they should, but the questions remain could they and would they? |

Recognition is meaningless; pro-Israel propaganda say over and over again that Iranians and Palestinians and whoever else they're smearing at the moment don't recognize Israel's right to exist, while those same people claim Palestine and Palestinians DON'T exist, but the fact is that there IS a government called Israel, fully existent and deeply oppressive, and there are oppressed Palestinian people. What the US needs is not to withdraw recognition, but the opposite: to stop turning a blind eye, and to recognize the terrorism that ISN'T perpetrated by a Muslim. |

Yes. We can't justify it when half the territory they claim is illegally occupied. |

Immediately, and stop interfering with the Arab states. |

They don't have no stinking territory...it is a stolen nation committed to genocide. |

Yes. You cannot justify recognizing a government that presents itself as having authority over a given domain and at the same time not recognize that domain,or at least the claimed extent of it. It makes no sense. |

We do not have to withdraw recognition of Israel. We here in America should make our government listen to the wise words of George Washington the first president of America.
In his farewell address he said we should trade freely with all have no special treaties or alliances with any countries show favoritism towards none. Also we should not get involved in the domestic affairs of any country. We should remain neutral and trade with any country who wants to trade (buy and sell products) with us.
In this way we will not get involved in other countries disputes and no country will be angry towards us.
We can recognize all countries and if the Israeli government wants to keep on attacking the people living in the occupied territories and do what ever else it wants to do towards them or attack Lebanon or Syria trhen let them do it just not with out $10 billion dollars that we give in military aid and loan guarantees. Let any country do what ever it wants and we can keep our nose out of there.
Also to the answerer who said that when the US runs out of money then you will see that Israel will align itself with Communist China since that country in the future will have the worlds strongest economy. Israel will forget about the US because we will be all used up and the US economy and country will be just another third world territory with a few multi-billionaires and a a few well paid people who will serve the rich people and millions of poor people. |

no they should try diplomacy and they should talk to the leaders of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the leaders of Syria. They should help reorganize the IDF and the IDF should work with human rights groups and NATO to improve its approach. |

I'd do some research.
Gaza and the West Bank (aka the Palestinian Authority) are part of Israel. Some quick little background, when Brittian and company were draftng the new Israeli State 60 years ago, they tried to involve the input of the Arabs of the area, giving them much more land than they currently have, which the Arabs quickly rejected, hence Israel has control of all the land, and only hours after the Brittish troops left Israel the Arabs started thier "Holy War" which brings us to where we are today. With the ongoing give/take (Israeli's give, Palestinians take) and it's rediculous goings nowhere, this is still all happening within the country of Israel.
And of course the US should KEEP it's recognition of the Israeli Government... if the Vatican and Lichtenstien (which are both much smaller than Israel) are able to be recoginzed by the US why not Israel? |

Since you do not represent America your opinion does not carry any weight. You do not pay taxes so it's not your money going to Israel or other countries. You have not been in the service or even the Peace Corps. I doubt you vote. Anyone like yourself can only speak for yourself and when you do any of the above then you can put America in your question.. No, The United States should continue to recognize and support our true friend and ally, Israel. |
