There are 55 Muslim & Arab states covering sizable sections of several continents. Jordan is for the PA Arabs. Egypt & Syria have the same PA Arab brethen (proof: Hamas is run by Mashaal from Damscus Syria).

I'm shocked by the Jewish responses; apparently they think they are an ethnic group. There are Black Jews,Arab Jews,etc. - this is not an ethnic group. It is a religious orientation,a point of religious affiliation. Why on earth would "Jews" be analogous to "Arabs"? In any event I see no reason for any religion to have it's own country. Do the Lutherans? Is there an official Methodist State?
In any event there is a reasons why Arabic-speaking people "have" more than twenty countries: there are nearly a billion of them. As compared to 13 million alleged Jews of which only half are actual Jews in any real sense of the term; i.e. religious affiliation.

Jews do not need or deserve a just-for-jews country any more than the Jehovah's Witnesses,and they are about comparable in numbers. Even the Catholic Church does not claim exclusive rights to a nation,and they have almost two billion members - one-third of the human race.

To answer: no,actual Jews can live anywhere they like but like an religion they have no rightful claim to actually owning a country simply because of their religion.

Have you ever seen the movie Obsession? I think you would find it really interesting. Anyways, that land belonged to Israel for centuries... and then was given back to them in 1948 - it is there land. And if you pay close attention and read between the media's lines, you would see that Israel is ONLY defedending themselves. Have you ever noticed that as soon as a Palestinian is "hurt" and ambulance pulls up within 5 seconds? And have you ever noticed that all the "fighting" takes place on Israel's side of the border... what are the Palestinians doing over there? Do some research.

while I take issue with Bill's question, I am also rather perturbed by Paperback's answer. There is a major difference between Arab countries, Islamic countries and secular, Muslim majority countries.

some countries listed by Paperback are actually NOT Arab countries; I see some African countries, and some South East Asian (majority Malay) countries. Many of these may have a majority Muslim population, but they are certainly not Arab.

One cannot automatically equate Arabic with Muslim. There are non-Arab Muslims out there too.

To the asker, Israel is there, and it isn't going anywhere. The best they can do now is stop lying about how they treat the Arabs, and start being fair. Or just admit they want them all out of Israel, and stop insulting the rest of the worlds intelligence by saying they want a two state solution and peace. They want a one state solution, where the WHOLE state is theirs, and the Arabs get out. That is just a fact, and maybe people would start respecting them if they told the truth. I know I would. I might not like that that is what they are doing, but at least just own up and admit what everyone already knows. That at least I could respect.

The Palestinians can have a state of their own; most reasonable people understand that the two-state solution is the only viable way of reconciling the two groups. It's bad actors like Hamas and Hezbollah that stand in the way. Are there elements in Israel that oppose such a move? Yes, but they are a relative minority and don't tend to express themselves through bombs and mortars.

Also, a good case can be made that they had one already: Jordan.

Too bad the PLO tried to topple the King and got booted out.

Palestine as a nation state has never actually existed. The 'Palestinians' as a nation of Moslems, were a creation of EGYPTIAN born Yasser Arafat in 1964, with the goal of destroying the Jewish people living in the Land of Israel.

Prior to 1923, the TURKS ruled most of the Middle East. Then the BRITISH occupied the land and divided the "Palestine" portion of the OTTOMAN Empire into two administrative districts; Jews would be permitted to settle the 27.8% of the land west of the Jordan River creating a Jewish Palestinian National Homeland, whilst 72.2% was allocated to form an Arab Palestinian nation called Trans-Jordan. This territory east of the Jordan River was given to SAUDI ARABIAN Emir Abdullah

JORDAN, LEBANON & EGYPT agreed to take responsibility for the Palestinian Arabs that were living on the Lands, but have NEVER done so.

In 1946, Trans-Jordan was again renamed simply Jordan. In other words, the Eastern 72.2% of what was Palestine was renamed twice, in effect, erasing all connection to the name "Palestine!"
The bottom line is that THE PALESTINIAN ARABS WERE ALLOCATED AN "ARAB PALESTINIAN" HOMELAND, in what is now Jordan. The remaining 27.8% of Palestine (now west of the Jordan River) was to be the "Jewish Palestinian" homeland.

The Arabs of the land west of the Jordan River, started to launch attacks upon the Jewish Palestinians in an effort to drive them out.

In 1947, the UN passed Resolution 181, intended to divide the remaining 27.8% of Palestine into a Jewish Palestinian State and a SECOND Arab Palestinian State (Trans-Jordan being the first) based upon population concentrations. These were to be the Gaza Strip plus Judea-Samaria - today termed the "West Bank" of the Jordan River).

The JEWISH Palestinians ACCEPTEDâ€¦..... the ARAB Palestinians REFUSED - because they wanted ALL of the land, both East AND West of the Jordan River - which they still do today.

On May 14, 1948 the Palestinian Jews declared their own State of Israel West of the Jordan and became "Israelis."

The next day, SEVEN neighbouring Arab armies, EGYPT, JORDAN, SYRIA, LEBANON, SAUDI ARABIA, IRAQ and invaded Israel. They ordered the 300,000 Arabs living within the boundaries of the 'newly declared' Israel, to leave, in order to facilitate the slaughter of the Jews -promising that they would be given all Jewish property after the 'victorious Arab armies' won the war.

70% of the Palestinian Arabs who left in 1948 never even saw an Israeli soldier! They did not flee because they feared Jewish retaliation, but because they believed that while they were gone the Jews would be exterminated. They guessed wrong; and are still tortured by the shame of their flight. Their shame is so great because in their eyes running from Jews was like running from women.

The result of the 1948 - 1949 Israeli War of Independence was that the almost-created second Palestinian Arab State was gobbled up by (1) EGYPT(occupying the GAZA STRIP) and by (2) TRANS-JORDANoccupying Judea-Samaria - today termed the "West Bank" of the Jordan River.

During 1950, Trans-Jordan merged the West Bank territory into itself and granted the 'Palestinian Arabs' living there Jordanian citizenship. Since Trans-Jordan was then no longer confined to one side of the Jordan River, it renamed itself simply "Jordan". So, the Arabs of Palestine ended up with nearly 85% of the original territory of Palestine... called Jordan but in reality their Arab "Palestinian state.

From 1949 - 1967 When EGYPT occupied GAZA in 1949, and JORDAN occupied the West Bank and Jerusalem in 1949, NO EFFORT WAS EVER MADE BY EGYPT OR JORDAN to support the Palestinian Arabs to develop their own autonomy.

Nevertheless, ISRAEL is being expected to now provide these same Arabs with their own country when their fellow Arabs failed to do so!!!
