Ideally, you express it in the way that means the most to them.

See if you can find the book, "The 5 Love Languages" in the library or bookstore.

If I recall right, they are:

- physical touch
- words of affirmation
- gifts
- acts of service
- meaningful time

I could be wrong on some of them. Anyway, figure out which category is their preferred language, and express it that way.

Those that come to my mind right now are:

-in words
-in actions
-in body language ( staring, crying, kissing, hugging, touching...)

You cook for them. Give them a hand or foot massage. Write them a funny poem. Paint them a picture.

Sometimes it's just in a kind gesture,an act of consideration,something to show the person that they mean something to me.A compliment,an encouragement,a show of confidence.And,of course,you have to bite the bullet and actually SAY it once in a while,there's just no substitute for that.

im a shy girl lol, and im quiet too, i speak arabic and understand it and read it and write it (well i am like not too good at writing but oh well ) but i am too shy to do it to my S.O so i dont make a mistake and embarrass myself even though i know he would LOVE it if one day he calls me and i talk to him in arabic the whole time, but i cant loool im to shy

so when i wanna be like extra sweet to him, i send him a bunch of sweet things and words in arabic lool and he likes it

- meaningful time devote all my time to him and dedicate my life to him
