I love summer's colours, but the heat makes me cranky. Winter would be nice if we had snow... All I hate about winter is the mornings when I have to leave home just after sunrise (7:15) and ride 8km with my scooter either to work or university. You can't feel anything in your hands, you can't speak (mouth is too cold) and then you have to sit in a freezing class. Also winter nights, because I stand behind the counter, in front of the gaping doors (policy: no closed doors) and then have to ride home (also scooter). That really sucks and gets you ill in no time. Spring and autumn still are best - not too warm and not too cold.

I suppose Winters cold makes you just that little bit extra glad to see Summer coming over the horizon again, and getting to snuggle down with your loved one, a nice mug of cocoa and a great DVD can be fun too.
But after about a week of freezing your tootsies off it looses it's charm.

Right now I'm happy with it being winter. The first 3 months of my pregnancy were hell coz of the heat! I wanted to die, but now that its winter, I hardly am ever feeling hot. I dont feel nauseas, sweaty and boiling and people hardly realise I'm preggers coz of the warm clothes I wear outside the office.

On a normal day though, I prefer spring... there's still a cool air and its not too hot. Plus I dont have to worry about turning crimson from the heat....

I love the winter, we have lovely winter's days of about 25 degrees here in northern KZN, warm enough for a swim.

But I must admit I do miss the summer vibe.

I used to live in Tzaneen in Limpopo Province but moved to Gauteng in January. I now know the meaning of winter. My fingers are freezing at this keyboard.

I don't know Lady G - the snow is very romantic until it melts and freezes and then more snow on top of that and you go walking on that lot and slip - its called black ice and if it happens on tar then you can't see it - the amount of broken bones from slipping on this stuff is amazing.

Apart from that I think I most enjoy spring when everything is waking up.

hi.i live in the northern hemisphere and its summer here.monsoons(the rainy season) are about to set in.But personally i love winter.temp here in winters can go as low as 4 degress c.but summers can be as high as 45 degrees c.so,i cant wait for winter!!!

Back in the Cape I love summer - hot and dry - but here in Taiwan the summers (like now) are very long and very wet and humid (up to 95% humidity at 33/34 deg. every day). And because of the humidity, the night temps doesn't go below 27. Without A/C, it's a semi-permanent sweatbath, with the sweat not evaporating. Hate the summers here. Hot together with wet just isn't right.
Well, coming home in July and looking forward to feel some cold (never thought I'd ever say that before leaving SA)!

Nope, I love winter!!!!!! It's lots of fun... You can always layer your clothing put on loads of scarfs and well it's just so creative...big Coats and boots even all the hot chocolate!!!!!
