The Meaning of Love?

Those of you who are parents will agree that children, no matter how young, will always look at life and it's problems with nothing but pure logic, which we as adults always fail to see. I dedicate this to you all today. Happy Valentines Day.


A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.

The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

"Nothing, I just helped him cry"

***Darth, that's so true but of course, only a child could figure that out. I recall two years ago in NZ, I met a 4 yr old little boy through tragic circumstances. After being in contact with him for a few weeks, he came to see me one day with a yellow rose in his hand. He looked up at me and asked if I could be his friend forever, to which I readily agreed. He lifted the yellow rose to me and said: "A****a, take this yellow rose which the woman at the flower shop said is for friends". I was really touched by this and of course, took the rose. When I had the accident late last year, again he came to see me, but this time with a dozen red roses with which he said "I want my yellow rose back now, because I,m giving you these red roses. The woman at the shop said red roses mean love and I love you so much". Needless to say, that broke my heart & I vowed never to let him go. Today, he called me from NZ just to wish me a happy Valentines day said he still loved me! How,s that for true love?
